Who remembers some of the great old cartoons?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3Jaegvf3Dc

This entry might be considered a bit of a late entry, but in 1988 the combinations of reasonably good animation, Ted Knight's amazing voice, and a stylized version of John Williams classic music came together for me very nicely.

What are your favorites?
Magic is like Science,
Both are fun if you do it right!

Thundarr the Barbarian had a pretty intense opening for a kid's cartoon. Apocalyptic destruction in 1994- pretty funny now!

But this is the all time classic for me and my best friend from back then: Star Blazers! Ridiculous song.

The Flintstone's theme is considered today as a 'jazz standard" in the the great American songbook (or Fake Book, whichever you prefer). Lynn

Monty Python perhaps ad Dire Straights Money for Nothing springs to mind and It's a kind of Magic - Queen.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

Well, if we're remembering stuff from Japan;

Funny thing about this opening. The original Japanese version had no lyrics. The American producer wrote some up and had them sung over the music. The Japanese creator; Osamu Tezuka, liked the result so much, he had Japanese lyrics written and put into the Japanese version of the show!

Osamu Tezuka was labelled the "Walt Disney" of Japanese animation. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osamu_Tezuka

Also by Tezuka;

"There's no time to lose," I heard her say.
"Catch your dreams before they slip away."
"Dying all the time, lose your dreams and you could lose your mind.
Ain't life unkind?"
