Overall Tora quality is very good, I own quite a few of their effects and use them regularly. When I first purchased their clear boxes with flowers production from open end plexiglass square it was so well made I could not find the gimmick, I literally had to read the directions to locate it. Probably the biggest plus about Tora is their creativity. ..they never fail to come up with a modern twist to an effect or something totally new. A prime example of this is their bouquet of flowers to lamp, it blows any audience away and is sooooo fast no one could even begin to understand how it works.

I love almost all of my Tora props. The only one I don't really care for is the super botania, as it just looks to beach ball'ish. But people love the vibrant colors of it and how fast it's produced…so I still use it. I picked up the Dice to Lady effect and use that to produce my daughter. She loves that one and it's a pretty decent opener.
Attention to detail is something that some of their products lack. Like the Jumbo Split Dice for instance… Including mine, I've seen 3 others with the same problem of the dice having the same number on multiple sides of the die or the numbers not matching to the color change. It's so noticeable that I had kids telling me at the final reveal that the dice were numbered wrong. I ordered new labels from Avery and peeled off the old stickers that were out of place and stuck the new ones in the correct location. Chris |

I am interested in the opinions of those who own the Tora Cornucopia production. If you don't own it, please give me your opinion from the video. I am having a hard time separating my "magician" self from viewing it. You may have the same problem, but I am looking for a stage filling production and value this community's thoughts! (yes, the video is cheesy!)

Stempleton,
I owned a smaller version that produced 3 bird cages and 3 crystal boxes containing spring loads. The prop itself was great quality and the effect was well received by older audiences and kids were amazed by it. I never had it hang up or malfunction during performance or practice. The only issue was the weight! It was very heavy and spinning it around to switch sides was cumbersome. The Cornucopia is larger and will weigh considerably more, so take that into consideration. In the video, you can see he is setting the prop on a table that looks like it's ready to keel over any moment! I used to use a small utility cart from Harbor Freight that was draped with a black cloth to hold my box and the productions. Get the measurements and actual weight, then try to find a cardboard box to replicate the size/weight of the prop and see if you can comfortably work with it before pulling the trigger. Chris |

Chris, that is an excellent point, and I checked to find that the box measures a little over 13.5x13.5x14.5 inches, weighing about 25 and a quarter pounds. I will have to fashion this up to take your advice. Thanks!
