Hey guys quick question.

I bought a listed as mint, new, unopened Tenyo,Twister ,T-159 from a UK Ebay listing. It was close to $100 with shipping as it was supposed to be new, mint, unopened, etc.

I received the item today and the shipper sent the item in one of those thin padded envelopes which is basically a flat bag. WTH? Why not spend the 10 cents and use a proper box for such a rare, fragile item?

The tricks bubble window was messed up and the cardboard edges bent all over because of the sloppy non protection and shipping. I mean it came from UK to the US so I'm confused why someone would be so cheap when shipping a collectible item.

Opinions?

Well you are more protected as the buyer now. If not received in satisfactory conditions return it.

While I of course know I can return it and appreciate your comment, I am curious what others think regarding what the seller did.

I'm no longer, or rarely surprised at what folks out there do, relative to what the normal expected behavior is.

There is no answer, but to paraphrase you; WTF were they thinking? Smile Smile

I've had this happen to me a couple of times. I've even had where an Ebay seller sent me one of the small box Tenyo tricks in an envelope. Needless to say the box was smooshed by the time I got it.

I've also had this happen several times, thus I always ask the seller to SEND IT IN A BOX. Sometimes they ignore that.

You should force the seller to take it back. If he or she refuses, open both an eBay AND a PayPal dispute and you'll get your money back.

Thanks guys, I knew I wasn't expecting too much in thinking why not use a box, lol. The guy offered me 10% off a "future purchase" from his Ebay store. Um, no, never going to buy from him again.

Go after him on both eBay and PayPal. Don't let him screw other buyers the same way,

Good. No seller on eBay wants to get a negative rating.

Seller on eBay probably doesn't understand or care that it's a fragile/rare/precious item. They probably have so many items on eBay that all they see is an old plastic toy and a packing slip. It's a shame, really.

Not this seller. He sells dozens of magic and Tenyo. Some of it, ridiculiously priced, so he should know better.

I just bought a mint in package, and I mean MINT--like the day it was made--"Mirage" from a guy on eBay. He sent it with one paper or one layer of bubble wrap around it in a manila envelope. Got here fine, but that was just dumb luck. He's now put another one up on eBay at double the price of the one I bought. Think I got lucky.
