Boomer is talking about electronic cutters that can be programmed to cut custom shapes. The Olfa is just a rotary blade on a handle isn't it?
Great for straight cuts but not so good for circles. |

The common Olfa rotary cutter used by millions is this: https://www.amazon.com/OLFA-9551-Straigh......y+cutter The circle cutter is much less common. But if you don't need the adjustability of the circle cutter I think the common punch style of hole cutter would be much quicker and easier to use. |

Hi guys. This will give you more bang for your buck. I have reordered the chip templates. It will now make 3 full sets of red and blue per page of A4 sticker sheet. These will make two blank sets and one "M" logo set.
Different colour chip sheets will be uploaded soon. Been a bit busy this morning. Enjoy these in the mean time. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzfWaS......hamI0NWc |

I had a very good conversation with Mark Southworth. They work on replacement stickers for this set. Sounds good to me!!!

The Cricut electronic cutting machine runs in the $300 range. With the template it will cut Adam Mills template sheet in a very short time perfectly.
I find it interesting that poker chips sold as a alternative to expensive gaffed coins, has turned into something super expensive. Great job on the PDF from Adam Mills. |

Okay guys. Here's all the colours that I've done so far. Once again I've squeezed in full sets using up as much of the sticker sheets as possible.
Colours offered so far are BLUE, RED, PURPLE, YELLOW, BLACK and GREEN. All without the "M" logo. Enjoy. More colours coming soon. I am working on an inverted BLACK chip. It will look great going from BLACK to WHITE during the colour changes ! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzfWaS......4QzFLbjA |

By the way it does take a bit of time and patience but just wanted to let you know that I have achieved perfect results using just a pair of scissors. I will post up a video of my gimmicks once I am happy with them to show you how good they look. There really is no need to be spending $300 on a circle cutter. That's just madness !
May I suggest practicing to cut them out using normal paper first then loading the sticker sheets in the printer once you are happy. |

Great work Adam. Probably worth applying the non-stick coating over the artwork and then cutting them out together. Has anyone tried the coating that Mark suggested yet?

Although I'm not having any problems with the matt vinyl sticker sheets at the moment. They are sliding great with no problems even without the extra coating. Will carry on testing and report back. |

I wasn't suggesting anyone spend ~$250 for an electronic cutter just to cut some circles, but if you or your wife do papercrafts and already have one.

Do any shops that will replace them if there are defects still have these in stock? Penguin told me they are going to be a month and I don't want to wait that long

I've read majority of this thread, but I guess my main question is why didn't they just produce these with solid chips (markings painted/etched in) and give people the option to use stickers if they wanted to. I don't know how they produced these, but it would seem that it would have been easier to produce a better product and charge an extra $10 (or $20 or $30) to produce a set of chips that wouldn't need people to run out and buy extra materials and worry about cutting perfect circles. Magicians would have paid the extra money for a product they didn't have to do immediate maintenance on, but still was cheaper than buying all the actual coin gimmicks.

I did not find the recommended laminate in germany. Therefore I tried GBC Peel´n Stick Laminate with self-adhesive back. Cutting the circles was no problem but finally the cover did not help. I think the material is not smooth enough. So I had to peel it of again. The search continues.
Thank you for the different coloured stickers. I will use them for a unique peacock routine. |
