A couple of years ago, we got into the lore and backstory of the "Hobo Nickels". How they were conceived, what they mean, and recently, their resurgence into popular culture. The craftsmanship that goes into these things are astounding. Just google them.
Instead of a nickel, we thought it would be fun to create a half dollar that magicians might enjoy, all while keeping the spirit of the Hobo Nickel infused into the coin. We kicked around designs forever, but finally landed on one that felt held up the standard. What started a fun little pet project, finally grew legs and became something that the Murphy's production team is excited to release. We present to you, the Grifters Coins. Hope you enjoy, if you have any questions, we'll be happy to answer! See them here: http://www.murphysmagic.com/Product.aspx?id=57502

How many coins come with this? Or is it $7 per coin?
Beautiful work, though - it looks nicer than the Artifact coins - at least to me. |

Would also like to know who is making them and will there be (at least "common" gaffs) made using these coins in the near future?

Dat beard. Screw the coins, I want to buy the beard on the coin worker in the video.

I agree with previous comments; Really nice looking coins, but would be nice to know if some gaff coins will also be made. I can do a decent amount with no-gaff coins but throwing in a gaff every now and then takes it from amazing to magical!

Like the look of these. How well made are they? All metal or coated plastic?

I think they are rubbed in the beard of the handsome gentlemen in the video until perfect. So... Beard coated.

Answer: I'm not sure, but I've carried them in my pocket for almost a year now, and they have very little wear on them. I carry them with my loose change. They feel like quarters, slightly larger.

Thank you for the information. How many coins are required to do the effects that are demonstrated on the included download?

Answering my own questions now, but will put it here in case others are interested. There is some basic coin work shown and is all put together into routine with a single coin. An additional coin is needed only if you want to do a something that is demonstrated, but this is not part of the one coin routine. So all you really need is one Grifter coin to do what is demonstrated in the included download.
