At least Joao will pleased you are giving it a go and purchasing the product with extra refills already ordered: what will you do if you go to your first table of customers and they turn round and say " Hey these tears don't match" But don't worry I will take all your 120 refills of your hand for half price Haha. Anyway 30 years ago we never had internet,we were denied library access and till this day I still don't know whether Enid Blytons Noddy and Big ears we're actually an item together, only because that was the rumour going around at that time on west wing block H (Solitary confinement) lonely place your mind runs wild. Also I eventually became a trustee once they found out I was a magician they asked me to do a show for the staff and inmates and I was told many years after it was well recived up until my closing illusion when I walked into my tall black vanishing cabinet. They have not seen me since then and are still looking for me. I hope the governor or any of the wardens didn't take up magic and join the Magicafe. Graham

I think King14 comments make a lot of sense, and I agree with him that an effect that is too strong, too impossible, may actually encourage people to think something is false, wrong in the materials you use.
Some months ago, I performed Escorial monte by Gaetan Bloom. I showed 3 black nines and 1 red jack. I said I will put one of the nines (without showing it - but in fact I put the jack) in the little bag of the spectator. Then I showed I have 1 jack and 2 nines. At the end, in my hand, the jack disappeared and 3 nines are in my hand. The guy reaches his bag and found the jack. He paused for a moment, and then asked me if one of my cards is a double card. He didn't believe the card changed place while I was out of reach of his bag. I didn't even come close to the bag, i.e., there was no interaction, so he "knows" somehow that the card in his bag couldn't have changed. What I think I should have done is to give them the idea that I have done something, without them thinking I could have switched them. For instance, if that guy was holding the jack, I display my jack (the double card), and then turn it over and touch his card with my card. That would be much more credible than the effect I have done. So, my point is that if your effect looks too strong, you may need to do something to make them feel that nothing is *wrong*. |

I was talking to another Magician just the night. He picked up on something that Joao Miranda had said in another post. " We use this car stock, everything has been thought out. What was their thinking when they did not get the two halves to match. If they got the gaffes made to their specification this would not have been a problem. Was this thought out?????
Thank god for Brexit, A least we will have a say on our own fake cards. LOL. |

This effect looks amazing - that's true. Impossible souvenir? I'm in!
But I'm worried about what you wrote here. This two pieces just don't match... I can see this, you can see this. I just wait for users reviews. |

Ok listen the pieces match, unless you have a very ragged tear of the gaff card in which case I have no advice. The gaff looks like a card torn neatly down the center. All you have to do is tear the gaff in the middle using the folded torn end as a guide. I feel I can say all this because you kind of know what your getting. It looks fine to me. I think some people might suspect the method but this is the same with many tricks the souvenir doesn't give away the method but contains the method so you have to decide if the trick is for you. I think it's fun in the right context.

People won't EVER notice that the 2 pieces are not matching !
I've done this trick so much that I nearly used all the cards provided, no one ever said that the pieces are not matching. Stop thinking like magicians, go out and perform and then come back here to speak about your experience.

I got this yesterday,it's very visual and I had to get it after Mr Loosely demoed it and nailed it with an awesome presentation,as always in the Alakazam shop.it is easy to do the cards are a bit flimsey and I have had to make a few adjustments with the two I have played with so far,i do think this was a little pricey but I do not do any tear and restore card effect's and this is so darn easy to pull of and as said visual that I had to have it and look forward to taking this baby on the road.

Gotta say this is ok for folk who do not know the make up of a bike card but I performed this yesterday and it blew people away, but after I did the last table back at the first and everyone handling the card around to each other and comenting how marvelous the trick was one of them was a magician, never knew him but he had a little word in my ear about the breakdown of the cards after a lot of handling.Been playing about with them and yes the do break down, must be the way they are printed.ust being honest and think I should let people know,it still is a fantastic effect and I will be using a lot still

I've sat on the fence with this one waiting for reviews. I'm happy its a worker so will order it soon.
I'don't believe the non-bicycle stock will be an issue and neither will the match of the cards after they are torn and fused together. I like it. I'm in.
We are inclined to believe those whom we do not know because they have not yet deceived us...
