Hello I have just joined and thought I would ask if anyone knows what the bill change done by Jamie raven on Britain's got talent is called? As I have been looking for a good trick with a single note which I can immediately hand out to the spectators thanks a lot.

Welcome DorianGrey,
This is the place to introduce yourself and your interests in Magic, so the question is out of place here. The members are more forthcoming with someone if they are a friend and a Magician. Still, the Café does not share secrets. After you get to know us, I'd suggest you ask in the "Paper Money Magic" forum. Tell us about yourself. -Mary Mowder |

Ah! sorry about that.I am a relative beginner to magic and would be grateful for any advice you can offer especially non card material. I love all magic however simple or elaborate and would love to have a career in magic I do not think I have really found my favorite are in magic simply because I have not really experienced it enough to presume to make any judgement. However I am definitively a lot more advanced with cards than anything else and would like to experiment with all types of magic to find my favorite area. I am 15 and I live in Scotland therefore my main source of learning is youtube but obviously that can only take one so far so recently I have tried some books and dvds but have been slightly disappointed by the lack of usable, visual and effective material.Once again sorry for not introducing myself I am still trying to find my way about as it where!

Welcome "laddie", to our motley crew!
I vaguely remember seeing your picture in an old movie, eons ago! (very ancient poor joke!) Mary has "steered" you properly. Check in to the "New in Magic" a few threads below, and, I'll try to give you a few hints about books, etc. I was a good friend of a fellow countryman of yours (the late Pat Page). Pat, who was a true "wearer of the kilt", always had time for the young guys, and, since I was a young guy, once, myself (in the 1940s) I try to be helpful, too, when I can.
