Just grabbed this and the method is very clever.
Looking forward to testing. |

If you are going to spend over $50 for an app I would recommend this one. It is excellent. I like the fact that it mixes a classical book test with modern technology in such a way to leave the spectator with no way to backtrack. Unlike inject and other apps, this product provides a wonderful and innocent justification for doing your dirty work. I love it!

Apple had only 3ish current phones people use that the hardware needs to be compatible with. Android has so many products maybe around 100 with only Samsung making flagship phones. So with so many phones it is hard to make sure the app is hardware compatible with all the devices. Therefore people usually make the IOS app first thename they make an Android version. |

Does the spectators phone need to be iOS? Or just yours?

Can we see a video of it at work? Not blaine, a normal uncut video.

Confused on one point: Does your iPhone have to be out (in view), or are you able to get info from your Apple Watch (with your phone not in view)?
Anyone? Thanks! Jerry P.S. The Blaine performance link now says "video coming soon" -- whazzup? |

Just took the plunge and this is absolutely brilliant. Yes your phone needs to be out unless you have an Apple Watch. However the use of your phone is so well justified that I personally will probably use my phone rather than the watch. Even the peek is extremely well justified. You never have to touch the spectators phone they navigate to wiki themselves in an extremely clever and motivated way.
The only possible downside is that if they look at the page after the effect it will appear slightly different but this should largely just come down to picking the right moment to "clean up". Cleaning up does not require touching their phone. I have seen many electronic or PDF book tests but I never imagined doing a book test on a phone until now. Mark |

I don't have an Apple Watch but if I understand the directions all can be done from your watch if you choose

Cant say much more than mark. Great app. Works well; very justified and you genuinely don't need to touch their phone. Your phone is used very briefly and in a natural way. And the two methods are a great blend of modern and classic (sort of)
Highly recommended |

Ok so in a nut shell if you have a Pebble or Apple smart watch your phone doesn't have to come out at all ? Except for launching the app I presume ? 😊 Ps don't get me wrong I think this is fantastic and will be buying 100% but if the phone coming out wasn't a slight weakness surely Blaine wouldn't of had it edited from the video or perhaps he just used a smart watch ?

I performed this for the usual first road test with my family. They have seen more magic than Penn and Teller!. Those worried about the presence of an app even with a tech minded spectator need not worry. I too have mixed feelings about app magic, but this is so transparent as its their own phone that is never touched. Also the 2 reveals are completely different and unrelated methods. I told a fellow magician that one method takes you "off the scent" of the other . Each reveal makes the other that much more puzzling. My kids who are in their 20s were blown away which is huge as they can be the typical child of a magician..... cynical!! They had no clue. I highly recommend this and will be road testing for the real world in the next week.

This looks too good to be true. I am tempted to invest

Just a correction I meant to say "invisible" not transparent when referring to the app!

This really is quite good. It is not inexpensive but I would say it's fairly priced.

One other thing whilst the instructions say that the spectator can search for any object or person this only seems to work for objects. When searching for people using first and last name it says there is no article on Wikipedia. If you search for someone using only a single name the Wikipedia site describes the person as an object. This is not a major problem as there are plenty of objects on the planet. For people I'd stick with inject.
One other problem with the cleanup is that both android and I phones give a notification that the page has been redirected and this coupled with the fact that the text has changed could be picked up by an observant spectator. However the notification only appears for a few seconds so this can easily be covered but it does need to be covered. Mark |

Tarik the use of your phone is so well justified that it is not a weakness in fact I can't think of an app that gives you a better justification/motivation to get the p**k. If you have an Apple Watch your phone does not need to be out but even though I do have an Apple Watch I will probably still use the phone because it's use makes complete sense and it can be away before they select a word.
Also on further experimentation it seems that the redirect notification only comes up if you clean up while their phone is locked. Also there is a setting to use the genuine first paragraph from the real wiki page which helps hide the change after the clean up. The more I play with this app the more I like this. Mark |
