I love Miser's dream and do not limit it to children shows. I get great feedback from all ages. I perform a few versions but my favorite for the past few years has been "Solaris Misers Miracle", due to the simplicity and reactions I've received.

Before you knock it and say I shouldn't perform it for adults, keep in mind that I get great reactions. I'm not sure if it's my particular personality or presentation, but adults love it. Especially the kicker in Solari's version where the only contents of the can is "one" Jumbo coin in the end.

In my opening sequence I vanish a candle to silk and transpose that silk to a jumbo coin. I then wrap that jumbo coin up (with paper, etc) and leave it in plain view while I do my misers dream routine. In my performance the conclusion ends with the audience seeing my toss 15-20 coins in a bucket..... BUT only a jumbo coin remains in the end....I then show that teh jumbo coin has vanished from the paper (which has been in plain view the entire time).

Despite the good reactions I'm still seeking ways to spice it up for adult crowds. I'm in search of a different type of storyline or patter (or anything) for adult crowds.

I once did it with beer bottle caps and spoke of my binges in my college fraternity during my early years and the effect was well received. The only flaw was the limited auditory from the caps as opposed to coins.

I usually do it to music but perhaps I could have some clever, "mature" patter before the music kicks in.

So .. any clever ideas for patter/story line (anything) etc "Misers Dream" for an adult crowd?

Thanks
