Lybrary have just released 'Perfectly Possible', my latest ebook which presents a new, improved method for the instant magic square for any named total.

This is also available in a Combo Deal with 'Mostly Perfect', my previous ebook on magic squares.

I got an early look at this and can attest to its claims. The earlier e-book is also valuable a different way, so I would recommend the combo deal if you do not already have the first one.

This e-book does an excellent job with teaching even the most "math impaired" (i.e. myself) to create a 4x4 magic square easily and quickly. The squares produced have a much nicer distribution of numbers compared to, say, Lorayn.e's instant magic square.

I would say so.

For example, with my method, there are no outliers in the square (this can be a problem that tips the method in the standard Instant Magic Square - especially if the magic constant is large).

Also, because there are no commonalities across squares having different constants, Perfectly Possible can be repeated for the same audience without tipping the method. It is even possible (and easy) to produce completely different squares for the SAME magic constant (i.e., with different numbers, not just rotational variations).

My special requests for an IDEAL magic square would be:
1. Swiftly construction of a 4x4 magic square for any even or odd magic total, easy to do math included.
2. Use of a sequence of 16 natural numbers for even totals, skipping only one number for doubly-even and odd totals, i.e. their range (highest minus lowest) is never greater than 16.
3. Possible creation of completely different squares for the same magic total (i.e., not just rotational variations).
4. Possible easy creation of a SEMI-magic square for the same magic total.
5. The initial cell is randomly given by a spectator.
6. Easy completion of the magic square in less a minute under fire.
7. Possible disguise of the method.
