The moral of this story seems to be that if you show up at a bar without an agreement with management, and during the night a random drunk person promises to pay you for your performance, you probably shouldn't get mad at the bar itself for not honoring that promise.

It's still magic even if you know how it's done.

Tertiary Moral: If your an amateur magician who shows up a bar without an agreement with the management, no body owes you anything.
Quaternary Moral: If you cut a bar maids hand, someone needs to punch your lights out.
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.

As a bartender myself, I am glad I don't owe money to the people my patrons wish to pay. We sometimes have comedians for an evening, and the good ones should be paid milions according to the drunk dudes at the bar.
Hopefully none of them will come and ask me to pay them this much. If one does I guess it will at least slightly puzzle me :-P |
