Looks interesting.
http://www.hocus-pocus.com/magicshop/pro......em=39769 Ad Copy below In the realm of switchboxes, we searched for THE most organic and practical gimmicks that could be hidden in the most effective of hiding places... in plain sight. Introducing, The Jar, by Kozmo. The Jar is one of the most versatile and organic switchboxes ever created. Why have a highly suspicious, magic gimmick on the table, when you can have an unassuming, plain old jar that is as diabolical as the craftiest of switch devices? The jar and the item inside stays in sight the ENTIRE time of the performance. COMPLETELY INSPECTABLE, The Jar's possibilities are never ending. Rings, sugar packets, cards, coins, bills and more... are able to be switched to ANY small object. The Jar also allows for extremely visual coin penetrations and a coins-across routine that is unlike anything around. The Jar takes all of the dirty work out of switching, and leaves your spectators in astounded disbelief. The Jar comes complete with: The Jar itself In-depth instructions by Scott Tokay and Garrett Thomas on DVD with three killer routines Special gimmick Customized coin (available options in US, UK, and Euro) Presentation, handling and method of confabulation routine (taught in tutorial) was created in full by Paul Romhany. |

What does UK, US or EUR version refer to? Is it for the coins only?

This little thing seems to cost about £45 in the U.K. ....for a jar ?
And, unless the thing is organic to the setting, it's as suspicious as any magic box. Even if it wasn't, the switch is the most suspicious move ever..you really think that this is the way anyone would go about retrieving an item from a jar...really. I also think that if I paid the best part of £50 and found that I could replicate this easily with a m**gn**** coin and any old jar with a metal lid, I might be a tad put out !! The world has gone mad. |

Ive done the card routine 30,000 times....either in close up or on the streets...it works.......you can switch just about anything that's small with the jar including rings and bills and coins....lots of possibilities...its also a great place to hold out something you want to use down the road and the coin penetrations are stunning
It comes with a special quarter or euro coin or Uk coin....depending on which part of that world you live in... It also comes with some other little items I'm not going to discuss....this has endess possibilities. |

Literally 5 minutes after typing my little diatribe I'd washed out an old Hollandaise jar and, with the regular bits and bobs in the old magic drawer, had replicated this exactly.
It's a darn sight cheaper in the USA and is okay...but the UK prices for a so so effect...are mad. |

The justification for the jar is something you can hold your props in. Plus it's something people are familiar with. The jar is 100% examinable. Plus, using a diff way to open the jar would be super easy imo. Just my two cents. Liz is a worker so you know he put a lot of thought into this

I like it. Thanks Kozmo! It seems that if Hannibal can justify having an empty (non-see through) Pringles can on his close up table, I think a jar (that has a bit of utility) is worth it and should be fairly simple.
I'll be picking up a US version. |

I think this looks great. Like it much more than Box98 which screams prop.

I'm going to stick with Toibox. Not interested in carrying a jar around in my pocket.

Were going to release a bill to sugar packet routine that is just killer that can be used with The Jar....also my friend Ray is using it in he 3 shell game routine....strong....This is not jut about a card trick. Scott Tokar put a Confabulation(did I get that right) routine on the dvd that he uses in his trade show work and is one of his strongest effects.......lots of possibilities..
Boomer, what if you arrived at the table with your coins and little items in the jar...dumped them out and used those items for the show...at least the items you want them to know about? Some people are going to love this....some won't....thats ok. Ive used it for a long time....works for me and Ive done a few shows... Let me know of the ideas you guys come up with....would love to see them. Koz |

I have one of these on my desk in front of me. The jar is charming in its own right. Very nice release with all the material on the DVD.
I liked the trailer too... cut... cut... man... it's just a jar There are three versions, each including a gimmicked coin to go with it. MoM are shipping the U.K. version with a 10p gimmick here https://www.magicshop.co.uk/the-jar They also have a special offer on it for newsletter subscribers. Hope this helps Dominic

I really like this idea.
Imagine : On the table sits the jar with a silk inside. You remove the silk, a participant seals the jar and covers the empty jar with a silk and the jar is placed down on the table. Perform your favourite card routine and then finish by removing the silk and a card has appeared inside the sealed jar. Open it up and it is the participants selected card. You then put the silk back in the jar and seal the lid. Clean! |
