Hey,
I had a physics test at school on wednesday. And I did pretty well.. better than I normally was. And "normally" I am not bad, too. I chose it - with maths - as one of my LK's (special subject which is done more profounded than the others). Now I have thought a bit, and "by accident" associated the following: When watching magicians perform, after the amazement phase I try to find out the secret of his effects. At the beginning, I was quite confused about everything, but by now I get the secret (or what I THINK the secret is ) very often. Okay, comparing it with a physics test: You have some numbers given, and have to get out the secret (combine the given numbers to answer a question). Combining given numbers ("No, he CAN'T have turned over that card", "No, there HAVE to be 4 cards, no more, no less") to be able to answer the question ("How did he turn over one ace after the other?"). (Example: Marlo's Twisting the Aces) Yep.. I actually got the secret of that effect by combining "given" stuff. Wow, that reminds me of when I started programming in C (a programming language). My math grades jumped up, and since then I was a maths geek. (I still am ) What I want to say with that? I don't know. I was just in the mood to post something here No.. honestly. Do you also find some side-effects of magic on your all-day life? For example, do you have to leave the room when your friends want to play a game of poker? |

Two things:
I'm far less gullible about 'the unexplained,' and grumble during "paranormal" documentary programs. Whenever I see a handcuff or restraint in a movie or TV show, my wife says, "Okay....what is it?" I then describe what the cuff/restraint is in detail. That reminds me of a recent joke: "You know you're an escape artist when you see an erotic bondage photo, and the first thing you look at is the manacles." Steve
