I love the effect, but I just can't get through the video. Something about hearing people crunch on food that I just can't stand. It's like hearing someone scratch their nails on a chalkboard.
I tried, but couldn't get through the video. KJ |

On the Offbeat,
Nothing is that important in life, yet everything is important. You make it more important by commenting on it, so thank you. KJ |

Completely agree with Steve. I have 12 different lollies on me during gigs and I found women most often name iron man and WW.
Men mostly batman, superman and Spider-Man. Well that's my experience at least. |

I'm really pleased all 6 characters are now out as if you have all 6 the hit rate is almost 100%, on the odd occassion where someone says deadpool/flash, I just say perhaps mentioned one who everyone could recognise. - Or I use the top trumps force/game for the finalé reveal. I use top trumps maybe 1 in every 10 performances, if that even. I use a pocket index for all 6 - I know which one is in which pocket. |

I just received the lollipops. I got two sets that include: Batman, Superman, Hulk, and Spiderman. They are really nice! I also watched a youtube video of some guy who "allegedly" actually carves faces in lollipops with his mouth. Whether he is doing an illusion or not, I don't know. I suspect there might be some illusion work involved, but the way he appears to carve it with his mouth seems very real. I think it would be worth it to try to emulate some mouth moves that look like you are really carving it.
I'm going to have some fun with this. KJ P.S. I guess I'm going to have to go back to the video because I didn't get to the point where they talk about how to end the routine. Clearly, you don't give it out as a souvenir. |

It's a closing piece of magic, so I casually have it in my mouth after showing everyone and walk off. You have to act like it's real and no-one will suspect anything else. |

Steve, I bought the original effect from Penguin, and when I received them today I immediately noticed that both ears of Batman are broken off about 1/2 way.
I don't see any pieces in the bag, so I assume they were packaged that way. Any way can get a non-broken one? Also, the "un-Gimmicked" one is off its stick. Having not watched the video yet, is that supposed to be detached from the stick for some reason? Thx! |

Not for nothing, but you really should at least watch the video explanation before asking obvious questions that might, just might, be addressed on the download.
I'm going to take a guess at the "non-broken one" question and say no. Quote: On Feb 12, 2018, paTRICKY wrote:

You are correct. I haven't watched the video yet, but that was not my main point. A broken gimmick was the main point, and many on here seem to say "contact the creator, and he'll take care of you" to others with similar issues, so that's what I was attempting to do. If I need to return the product to the vendor, then I really don't necessarily need to watch the video until I have a replacement... and if I don't get a replacement, but rather just return for refund, then the ethical thing would be to not watch the video anyway, since I don't own the item.
I'm new to all of this, but detect an unwelcoming attitude via some of the comments... |

The batman is supposed to have broken ears so as not to raise suspicion, ie, not perfect. Hope that makes sense.

PaTRICKY, it sounds like you received the gimmicks in normal working order. Nothing broken.

If you had watched the video before commenting in public, you would have known that everything you received was as it should be. The ears and unattached gimmick issues that you mentioned are covered and explained in the download. Instead of watching the video first, you decided to broadcast your ignorance on a public message board for all to see. It is not an unwelcome attitude that you detect in this case, but a sense of frustration from those who know better.

No...my so-called ignorance was actually based on the pictures of the gimmick on the Penguin website. Take a look at the pictures that I saw before ordering: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/7905
You are saying I'm being ignorant, but you're the one who is showing ignorance, as the snapshots clearly show full pointed ears. And now you have gone and proven me correct. Attitude. Thank you, pegasus and baobow, for answering my query without being jerk about it. |
