Anyone know where to get an Ellis-style finger ring? I know it's a strange request but I've got some ideas for it.

Not exactly a finger ring but you can check an effect called Gemini Ring by Chuck Leach. It fits like a finger ring but it is made of plastic. It also has a locking feature.

No such item on the market. Contact some of the specialist in coin magic and see if they will make you a custome ring. Be prepared to spend several thousand dollars for the design and set up.

I really do not know how you could wear such a ring as the diameter will cut into your finger. Finger rings are not round but flat or only less then half moon shape.

Secondly, it would be so small that I do not see the presentation value of a tiny Ellis type finger ring.

Pete--

It's Chuck Leach: same guy that made the Raven. Here's one link to the product:

I have ordered this and will report on it when it arrives. I hope it is as good as I need... otherwise I will have to go back to Plan A and have Joe Porper make one for me out of material I can have gold plated.

Thanks for the ring info.
My problem is I have VERY big hands. Does anyone sell ANY of these ring effects in a men's ring size 13-14?

Not very furry, just big! LOL!
Just ordered the Gemini ring from Chazpro. Their listing says it's something like 1.1 inches in diameter, which should be just about right for my big hands. They also claim their handling shows how to show it tight against your finger from both front and back if your fingers are more the size of a normal human's. Smile

Well that sounds like it would be a very nice gimmick. This is nicely machined, and as it's solid brass there is no plating to wear over time.

But with the potential exception of Airship here Smile for most people it would be pretty big as a real finger ring. I have small hands, so for me the finger ring bit is just as a method of introduction.

Would be cool to be able to wear it, although for most people brass will leave black marks under the ring if worn for any length of time.

Chuck has been doing some of his other effects in stainless steel lately, Pete maybe he would do a custom sized one for you?

I got it today. Nicely made, but too big for me to wear (I didn't plan on that anyway). I need to get used to the handling. I think you can to Thumb Fun with this if you use a smallish lady's hand. I'd like it to be a little LOOSER, tho.

Just got my Gemini ring. Service was FAST, and Chuck straighted out a payment problem with PayPal, besides.
The ring is too big even for me to wear on my ring finger, though it comes darn close on my middle finger. But like Pete says, I probably wouldn't wear it all the time, anyway. It's nice, shiny brass and obviously good workmanship. And it came with a nice piece of red rope and an instruction booklet with clear photos. Now to work.

Included in the instructions is my old pal Emile Clifton's "RING MOVE" -- this is one of the great moves in finger ring history. FYI (I always like to talk about Clifton) Emile was a Distinguished Flying Cross winner in WWII as one of the famed Tuskeegee Airmen, a fine magician and dear friend.

Glad you guys both like it, and I agree, the service over at Chazpro is really great, courteous and super quick turn around.

Thanks for that info, Pete. Such heroes bravery and dedication should always be honored and never forgotten.

Emile, thank you for your dedication and service to your country. Especially under such trying and challenging conditions that "forced" the creation of a Tuskeegee entity in the service.

I have the same problem as AIRSHIP very big hands, (ring finger is a size 18-19) I have been looking for anyone who does custom size PK or magnetic rings, and optical illusion rings. I saw both of these on a site at one time but lost the site, does anyone know where to find LARGE rings. The nice thing is that I can wear the bang ring for my Johnson scotch and soda as a ring on my middle finger keeps it handy!
thanks for any ideas or help you can give.

Man, Ft. Worth, I don't think even I would want to run into you in a dark alley! Smile
On the plus side, Since I wear a size 14 on my ring finger, and the Gemini ring is somewhat large even on my middle finger, I think it should fit you just about right.
