I don't think the first two are ever going to be released. I think Aliun is supposed to be this summer...But Im not sure.

Aliun is due any time now. But whether it actually appears is another story.

I think the only thing to do is sit back and wait. I expect that the Team over at Ellusionist will come through. I think alot of what you have read about the Aluin is mostly hype though, not the effect but about the pricing and what not.
The Team is being very tight about this one. In fact any thread created on their forums regarding the Aliun is quickly locked and deleted. I am waiting for the release too so that I can make a decision between it and the Elevator. Oh well, that leaves me plenty of time to practice and rehearse until then. |

About the Aliun levitation I'm wondering if the demo is giong to be just as deceptive as the king rising demo.

The notion that "the effect is being honed" points to one of the central problems in magic today. Rather than magicians releasing material they have actually performed for years in the real world, for real people, we have the phenomenon of those inventing tricks for magicians. Sure, they may "hone it" for a couple of months, but any pro will tell you that it takes years before the ins and outs of a piece are truly understood.
So, I hope the ellusionist-ites truly get their money's worth, but let's face it; if it were truly something revolutionary, wouldn't the creators use it to spawn a career in the performance field that would span years and make millions of dollars, not to mention fame and international celebrity? But that would require the insight resulting from years of serious study and performance experiences. |

Yes aliun does or will cost $1000 to $1500, but you can only go as high as other self levitations, I'm not to sure whether the spectators can see under your feet, peter loughrans elevator will still be my favourite

I actually have the description of ALUIN, ie. how it works, which I received from an unnamed source. It is truly interesting and revolutionary, but you might as well strap a computer to a deck to do one trick.

Based on my understanding of ALIUN the demo seems to be an honest depiction of it. The choppy nature of the preview, however, makes it seem like Ellusionist is hiding something
But then again, I probably have no idea what I'm talking about. George |

I just think its funny that people like those who run the Ellusionist. com site profit off from age old mgic. What kinda people go and disrespect the magicians on TV who show ''HOW TO'' when they do the same thing but make a profit from it. I don't see a difference in the two people and if you do see a difference please tell me what it is???

Aliun or Hoverman as it is known to the few of us who know the creator. It is a nice effect. Well thought out mechanics. There are a few initial draw backs. The price is extremely high for a close-up effect. There is an expense you have to put up with every couple of levitations (20). You have to replace the "power" source. It is relatively inexpensive to replace. The great aspects are that you can really walk around with it. It is easy to operate. There are a few people who have the hoverman version of it here in Canada.

Aliun levitation is an easily made contraption. The parts are cheap to buy and very quickly assembled. Just do a search for the patent on it. It tells in detail how it works. I believe it cost me about $30 in parts to make it. It took no more than 2 hrs to build. What took the longest was the piston and making the shoe. Very simple effect, very cheaply made, very astounished and 'dazed' crowd.

It has been out under Hoverman. Sold to a few people mostly in Canada. It is also to see the patent for it and figure it out.

I would like to say also, that it took the inventor two years to get it to a workable/reliable product. A lot of trial and error. Plus there was the whole patent process. As others will tell you, to put out a quality product can take years of development, which includes testing it out on a few audiences. If I had the money I would get this from the inventor. I don't know what deal he has made with ellusionist, but I hope it was a good one. I think ellusionist might be tweeking a the product a bit to make it even better.
