The Elastic Aptitude Test (EAT) has been designed to measure the distance your imagination can stretch. Unlike traditional aptitude tests, which reward a humdrum command of facts, EAT rewards Flexible Agile Thinking (FAT). Now then, how flexible is your mind?
Part V: Geography A good sense of direction may or may not be helpful in this quiz. Your task is to interpret each statement so that is becomes false. 1. Rome is the capital of Italy. 2. The Poles may be found in Warsaw. 3. The Nile is longer than the Danube. 4. The highest point in Asia is Mount Everest. 5. Turkey's temperature never exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit in November. 6. Oslo is not located in the middle of Czechoslovakia. 7. Man can be found on every continent. |

1 - Actually "I" is the capital of Italy.
7 - Man can be found on every continent. You could look, but in many places you'd have an extremely difficult time finding him. |

Everyone has pretty much figured most of these out, so here are the so-called "official" answers I was going for:
1) The letter I is the "capital of Italy 2) The Poles are at the extreme north and south of the planet. 3) It's shorter by two letters. 4) The top of the letter A is Asia's highest point. 5) It does, when roasted for Thanksgiving dinner. 6) Oslo is in CzechOSLOvakia 7) No, man is an island. I do like many of the alternate idea proposed - that's good elastic thinking! |
