This is a Martin Lewis creation. It was really popularized in the 1980's by Harry "The Hat" Anderson. It is a fairly common item. Hank Lee or Tannens would surely carry it. If not, Martin Lewis does have a few vids on the market. It may be on one.

HI Dave,
As you are in the Uk probably the best place to buy this is The House of secrets 12, Caunce st Blackpool They sell the effect with jumbo jumbo cards about twice the size of a jumbo card on a Plastic for hard waring and if you want you can write on them as per Don Alan with a dry board marker the bigger size makes the handling more natural and the routine is Ken Brookes/Fred Kaps and all nuances are explained superb outfit probably less than £20.00 but I cannot be sure Phillip |

Hi Dave,
there is a very commercial version of the Sidewalk Shuffle called "The only three card trick with four cards" (I hope the title is correct). I bought this many years ago in Germany, it was originally released by Ken Brooke and came with routines by Brooke and Fred Kaps. It's a gaffless version, since you only need what the title says: four jumbo cards. Check it out if you can. You won't be disappointed. |

There's an explanation of this effect in the book "Martin's Miracles" (written by Martin's dad, Eric). This is a good book, and also explains "Cardiographic," which was performed by David Copperfield.

I perform the effect, regularly. It always gets a great reaction with my simplified handling. The original handling can be difficult to remember, thus exposing the secret, even if you perform it several times a week.
