Any gospel or Bible ideas with the dove pan? I don't normally use one (but have one now) and would like some good routines with it.
Thanks guys, FC |

Here's a holiday idea with the dove pan:
I've used mine at Christmastime to produce the treasures of gold (chain of beads), frankincense (fancy spray mist bottle for purfume, empty), and myrrh (a few plastic leaves). I dress three children up as wise men (The Magi), and read the passage (Matthew 2:1-12). I make big lavish hats from balloon animals for the 3 wise kids. (Yes, I do know that the Bible does not say there were 3.) When I discuss presenting the offerings to Jesus, and the significance of each offering (gold for a king, frankincense for a diety, and myrrh for someone who is to die), I produce the items from the pan at that time, and have the volunteers hold them. - Donald.

Donald -
Nice routine. I am especially fond of the balloon hat costume idea for the kids. Thank you for sharing. Another thought could be to use the "cake baking" effect mentioned in the dove pan topic in the "Boxes, Bags & Tubes" Forum. One could illustrate the sweetness of the I Corinthians 12 passage (v.20 "But now there are many members, but one body.") using the cake idea. Tom Jorgenson in the "Boxes, tubes and bags" forum posted a teriffic routine using the dove pan and balloon animals. Does anyone have any thoughts on using this routine to illustrate a biblical concept or portion of Scripture? peace, phill
