I was interested to see this released at Blackpool. Clever idea. This is a known, published Pat Page creation but I don't see his name mentioned anywhere. Does he get credit?

Does it come with the nice feature that some chop cups have to make the ball invisible under the glass when desired? It should not be very difficult to add with this design, I hope that they thought of it.

I think this is an interesting twist on the regular chop cup & the short routine looks good.
When MAGICBOX get them in I will watch Grahme or Chris do the routine & may end up getting it. Ofcourse ALL MAGICIANS on here know what they are getting & the workings. The advantage is you don't carry a metal cup which SOME would say looks suspect & you save pocket space just carrying black material. I don't use a Big Don allan Chop Cup with a superstrength maganet,. I use only that comfortablly fits in my Jacket pocket (& doesn't look unsightly) However, the black material then could become suspect. On a few occasions people have wanted to look at the bag that the metal cup comes out of(& I have all the audience management skills I will ever need but sometimes they still do (which is kind of good). Yes, the black cover is justified as you are borrowing a glass & are just using the material so that they you don't give away the secret. Also for the final load you can elevate the glass for a natural applause burst. But to tell the truth you get the applause anyway at the end of a regular Chop Cup routine. I would say that having an ordinary metal chop cup flys by. It's all about attitude & the routine you present. And not making the audience participant look silly by repeatedly guessing the wrong place for the ball. Some would say who carries a metal cup. I would say who goes up to total strangers, talks rubbish & does tricks on people & gets a very large amount of money for 2 hours work ? Not many people, only working magicians. So really what we do is un natural. I always change around material & do different routines to stop me getting bored or complacent. BUT there is always a production. May be a bottle of wine, a pool ball, a large nut, Jiggernaught, A bottle of beer with signed card in it or chop cup. Think I will end up adding this to my set as an extra option. I hope my thought above are of interest. Nice release by Matt & the the team at World Magic Shop. PS. Nice demo. Dave Mike Donoghue |

Some people say this was the trick of the convention. Not sure who these people are, or how many

Didn't realise that the black material didn't have the secret in it.
Thank's for the info. Tom. Well, this is even better than I thought if it's Just a matter of loading it as in standard C. C. without a M....t. Ps. Sorry about any typos earlier but even when I read over my posts before posting them, I always miss some ha. Yes, this will probably be an extra option for me to buy & USE . Anyone who already performs Chop Cup has a ready made routine with a different aspect to it. I "Killed" last night when working with a regual one so am looking forward to trying this new version out on the paying public. Mike Donoghue |

I didn't go to Blackpool (actually I never have...yet), but just got it yesterday. I don't buy lots of stuff, as I'm a working pro and tend to know what sort of fits my style etc. I bought this primarily to eliminate the need to carry around a bulky Chop Cup - pocket space is vital for me, and this is great for this. It does exactly what you expect. In addition I will be using this for a wild coin routine too so a double whammy! Great work David and the team at WMS.

Strange that this is generating so much excitement. This takes the cake for the most awkward and strange item to carry around to perform the classic chop cup routine with. As a spectator I would be more impressed to see the trick done without the "everyday, ordinary looking" wine glass sleeve.
