Does anyone know any freeware software that enables you to create your own royalty free music for magic?

I don't think it is free ware but the Acid programs are great.

I copy music from http://www.freeplaymusic.com and then edit it in Acid 4.0. Adding voice overs and other bits and pieces.

Licensing music from freeplay can be pretty expensive.

According to their rate card, it is $85 per song per event, or $250 per song per year for live events.

How many songs are you using at *that* price?

We don't seem to be coming up with free choices, and that's unfortuante, but an AMAZING inexpensive Apple app is Garage Band!

Why bother with royalty free music? Use ASCAP. For their music it is usually $7.50 total per show for a paid audience of less than 5000. They can be contacted on the Net.

I use acid pro and make mine, it saves me the headache of having to worry about other peoples stuff, even though $7.50 sounds like a great deal.

I also announce during my show that I have created all the music, and they usually don't believe me which is the greatest compliment of all. (I think its b/c it sounds too good)

You can download a demo of Acid Pro but the save option has been disabled. It also costs $400.

Make your own music if you can. I agree, Acid is a good software.
