I won't write much, but I will when I have things worth sharing privately, directly with you, away from the socials.

#ERDNASExMADISON
Following the recent madness that surrounded the ERDNASE x MADISON project, Ellusionist made the decision to discontinue the product and I was asked to apologise to those who took offence. If you have not seen my apology video, you can watch it HERE.

This apology, alongside my HAZARD video, didn’t help the situation, but I had to stand my ground, and I always will.
I do not wish to expand on the email that Ellusionist sent explaining what happened.
But I am happy to announce that I have persuaded Ellusionist to relaunch the project.
They will officially announce this in their own time and manor, but I wanted to be the first to share the news with you.

There aren’t many box sets left, but when the project does relaunch, (date TBA) the ExM deck will also be made available on it’s own.
The ExM deck is the only part of the project that I am proud of, all of the madness was worth it, selfishley, so that I could have those decks.

Only a few understood that the “I’m better than Erdnase” quote, was a trick.
I prefer to keep it this way, and not explain.

For now, the only way to get the MADISON HELLIONS is by signing up HERE and partaking in challenges.
So far, I have sent out almost 100 decks to those who made the most impact with their involvements in the first 2 challenges.
Challenge 2 winners will receive a DM from me very soon.
Challenge 3 will also be announced very soon.

Although a new edition of the Hellions will be released sometime this year, (With db as the new KS and a Gaff like you’ve never seen) the current edition will never be sold, only gifted to those who do their best with #iAMaHELLION

If his reason for the project and the only aspect he was proud of was the Deck of cards it can't have been much cop.

Yeah, that statement in the newsletter seemed strange to me as well, when looking at other aspects of the project (ie 8 hour training video).

It seems Daniel's statement is contradictory to what it says on the Ellusionist's web site: "Did you know? After opening the Erdnase decks for the first time, Madison decided to delete his entire project and re-film from scratch."

For those of you who own the eight hour video instruction is Daniel using an Erdnase deck while teaching, as he is in the trailer?

If he is it doesn't make sense.

I do believe you have to tip your hat, even if just slightly, to Daniel Madison for the humility in his newsletter and to eLLusionist for the decision to pull the product and re-do it. I personally believe they realized that they had a potentially great product, but the delivery cut down of the purchase percentages of the 3 or 4 demographic groups that inhabit the world of Magic . (5 if you include members of the 3rd world who can barely afford a deck of cards).

$100 is a high for straight download of video, but not for a product of this size if it included DVDs. I paid $120 or so for Erdanse x Ackerman, which came with a pdf but no actual book or deck, and was happy as all get out with it!

It might behoove eLLusionist to add a counter-point magician in the advertising, with a slight humorous take, with back and forth video cuts of them cracking on each other.

Every Professional Magic Teacher has slight variations of the same moves across the board. It is those very small differences that I look for the most when I purchase material that I already own covered in 3 or 4 other instructional dvd or book sets. My thirst for knowledge has increased as I get older, and I really do enjoy the various viewpoints of the Pros.

My hat is off to Daniel Madison and eLLusionist for making this decision.

Now that is awesome... no matter how you look at it... If DM did this intentionally, then he is a genious... Now Mark Elsdon just went up in my book for either figuring it out or making it up... props either way... LOL

I think you missed a clue posted by Mark Elsdon that points to his "deduction" being a hoax.
He claims he based it off the Chapter Time Codes on his advanced DVD copy. Since Eardanse x Madison is download only, where did his DVDs come from?

Blame Canada.

I agree about the props. Mark Elsdon came up with an extremely creative and ingenious way to poke fun at Madison! I think it shows and incredibly brilliant magic creativity.

Since I just returned to magic 1 year ago after a 20 year absence, I am curious to what false advertising eLLusionist did over the last few years? I have spent $500 with them in the last 4 months and just took delivery of Pyro 4 Mini 3 days ago. Is their something I should know?
