Ask a spectator to think of a color and announce it. Produce a black glass stone in your right hand (specifically held by the thumb and index finger) "transfer" it to your left hand. Ask the spectator for thier hand and take it by the wrist with your right hand. Place the stone in their open hand and close it. Tell them to think of the color, have them close their eyes and envision their color. Give their hand a gentle squeeze and have them open it. The stone is now the color they chose.

That is a nice effect but I wonder why it is being posted in the manipulation section. It seems to me that you would get much better feedback if this was in one of the close up magic areas.

With that said, I think what would make the effect very strong, is the story line and patter you put around it. The effect is so straight forward and simple in presentation, that a nice story would help in the build up of the climatic moment.

Maybe the stone came from somewhere and has a mysterious past. Create lore and legend behind this magical object and it may draw the audience in more.

Thanks Kyle. Sorry about posting this here, maybe one of the moderators could move it somewhere appropriate.

I also like you idea pertaining to the stones origins. Perhaps a rune could be carved into them.
