Hi all!
I just recently signed up for the Magic Cafe! I'm a regular at the M&I board as well! Wow, there sure is a wealth of info here, I was very surprised to see such an active Magic site! My name is Timdini ABRACADABRA Housinni...or just...um...tim for short! I'm from Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes. I live near (very near!) Minneapolis. I've been a semi-pro for 5 years. Meaning that I do not sustain a full time career as a magi but I do get paying gigs when the opportunity arises! I've been studying magic since I was in 6th grade right after I saw Mark Wilson at the MN state fair. I met him then (I don't remember, but I have an autograph!) then I met him 2 more times at conventions! I learned from his book initially the MWCCIM. And then moved on to other books/videos/etc! A Jeff McBride lecture turned me on to deeper aspects of magic, as did the book STRONG MAGIC by Ortiz. Sure I'm still a bit of a trickster though! Some of my favorites are: A variation Rope routine using moves from Daryl's Rope Routine, Aldo Colombini's Tight Rope, some Tabary moves, and some original moves. Its about a 6 minute act. Impossible Opener by Doc Eason A version of Ambitious/Chicago Opener/Red Hot Mama ROUTINE. I love, love, love the ropes though! I could perform for 20 minutes with a piece of rope improving it all! Cards are great too, but sometimes if you are in a room full of people and you yell out: Anyone wanna see a card trick, you will get kicked a few times! I've met a lot of GREAT magicians, and seen them lecture. Some of my favorites are: Aldo Colomdini, Jeff McBride, Michael Ammar, John Mendoza, Karell Fox, Mike Powers, to name a few! Well, that's me and thanks for the invite! Timdini ABRACADABRA Housinni...or just...um...tim for short! |

Welcome Friend Tim!
I know those winters get pretty cold up in Minnesota, so you must have plenty of time to practice. Glad you made it here. I think you will like this place even better in time. It truly is a unique place on the web. BroDavid
