Whenever you give an effect a title like "The Reputation Maker", IMO, you are asking for trouble. It looks like a nice trick, but a reputation maker would be something more personal where you "Make your reputation", not Harry or Matthew's reputation. Since it isn't going to be "my" reputation maker, I guess I won't be purchasing it.

Buy it, learn it, rehearse it, perform it constantly.

In our town there is a magician that works restraints and he does the floating bill at every place he works. They come to the local magic store and ask for invisible thread. I take out a small card, with nothing on it, show it to them and then they just look dumbfounded, and walk away.

Buy reputation, they do not mean you will be known throughout the world, they mean in your performing area, and become known as the person that does that mystifying effect. You become associated with the trick, because no one else does it as good as you. Or you were the 1st one to do, and they believe it is his effect.

This is where it can get interesting, if you say you can do that trick the guy does, you do it, the people will tell you he did not do it that way, and your is totally different.

I made a reputation for many years with Card on Ceiling. It wasn't my routine.
