Does anyone know anywhere where I can learn about verbal control? The information in "Psychological Subtleties" about verbal control with cards and numbers is limited, and I can't find Max Maven's text on the subject anywhere.

Google NLP, you'll find plenty of free courses on-line.
If you are not cheating, you are only cheating yourself.

Dutchco is about to put out some new Ebook: DUTCHCO. Get 'em while you can.

I think the name of the Max Maven booklet is "Equivoque"

Christian Chelman has an effect using this method. It's called "Equivox"

It's basically "controlling" the actions of your volunteer by careful choice of verbal commands, thus the term "verbal control."

If I offer you two coins and ask you to "Take one" I have the choice of accepting or rejecting your choice by following it with "...and put it behind your back" or "...give it to me, and we'll use the other" you have just witnessed me "verbally controlling" your choice of coins. Of course it can be much more powerful, and much more subtle than my example, but you get the idea.

Other verbal controls involve carefully worded phrases that can be taken two different ways, leaving you to control the outcome, or you can use subtle verbal hints to skew the odds in your favor.

NLP stands for "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" and is regarded by some to be a very powerful tool. Sales people and telemarketers use these tools every day.
