I have done KJ bowl-a-rama for several years. It's a great effect. Last week I produced the ball and as it dropped to the ground, the bowling ball split in 2! Has anyone used anything heavier than the 6 pound ball that comes with it?

I wouldn't reccommend getting something heavier. Though I don't have the trick, it sounds like from all of the dropping over the years got it to finally crack. You may want to replace it every few years or so. Good luck!

Wow,
That's new to me... I guess it had to happen 7 years is a lot of use. Time to get a new one. chris |

I bought a six pound bowling ball for a juggling trick, from my local bowling alley shop.
They warned me that the six pound balls can crack very easily and if I was to drop it onto something like concrete it would crack in half. I've had it for almost a year now and dropped it quite a few times and it's still ok at the moment. |

Since my first post I bought 2 back up balls (another 6 pounder, plus an 8 pounder.) Instead of having 3 holes drilled, I only had one large thumb hole drilled. This gives better structural integrity to the ball.

That's pretty interesting, ball breaking in half. Just a quick question; what were you standing over when the ball broke... Concrete, rug, floor? Then you might wanna try to stray away from thst flooring
Thanks... Kyle

The ball dropped on carpet over cement.
