I've wanted to learn this routine for a while now, but can't find anywhere to buy the needed coin gaff.. My preference is Kennedy half dollars. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced source? It's mainly for my personal enjoyment, I don't plan on performing this seriously.

Thanks.

I was moving forward on getting these necessary props, but it turns out the Johnson stack is of 5 coins and I am looking for a 4 coin stack. Can anyone recommend another source for an appropriate stack of 4 Kennedy half dollars?

Thanks,

Dave

Check with the master. He had some rather game changing touches to this recently, beautiful looking, and another batch purportedly in the making soon.

Of course you could always make your own.

Be brave, use your Boston box as the gaff. Smile

Who are you referring to?

Please remember that I'm an amateur and am learning coin magic for fun. I do perform for family and friends and occasionally in a formal show presented by my local magic club, but I really don't want to spend a lot of money on a prop that may get used in performance only a couple of times or so.

At the latest magic hangout I asked about this and some of the guys said that they had done this. I don't have the tools or the background to try this on my own, but I did visit a local machinist who suggested I talk with a blacksmith.

I think you're joking, but that's not really a bad idea for learning the routine and deciding if I want to practice it enough to perform.

Regardless, one of my friends from the club found a set he made (see above) and is going to give it to me, so I will be set in a month or so when I see him again. I'll try to video record my practice later and post it for suggestions and comments.

Thanks,

Dave
