Here in Philly, they will not release your scores, and the test that is taken for membership is not a certified IQ test; rather, it is an internal test solely for the purpose of membership.
Higher societies will not consider results from a Mensa test for their memberships.

What good is a high IQ if your emotional intelligence is low?
Allow me to bring one other measurement into this topic. That is the comparison of IQ and your EQ (emotional Intelligence). In recent years it is believed that your success is mostly likely to derive from your EQ not your IQ! If you are not familiar with your EQ then do a word search and read up on how this effects your work, especially as a magician, and your success. I use this material in my training for m2m. You make a really good point Steve, as all the research I've heard about mentions the most successful people in life are those with high emotional intelligence (EQ) rather than high IQ's.
One research study that I've heard about (sorry can't remember the source) studied children for several years from grade school to adulthood and found the majority with the best jobs are those with the best Social IQ's. Those of you that have been following Donald Trumps Apprentice show can see for yourselves the "Likeability factor" is far more important to succeed in business or in life than a high IQ. The research had also stated that the majority of the time if a person were reasonably intelligent, well rounded and friendly they would almost always beat out other applicants whom had a higher IQ. Social IQ was deemed to have a far greater effect on a person's well being, happiness and job performance which made them much more successful in life all together. They were the ones getting the promotions, had numerous friends and had the ability to persevere no matter what, unlike their counterparts with higher IQ's that in many cases could not cope with pressure. As for me I'm not Mensa material...drat missed by 3 points but I've very sociable!!! :O) C |

Hi Kihei Kid,
Okay I'm going to throw a monkey wrench in your monkey wrench!! Ha! Chances are if you are socialable which goes with EQ's than the likelyhood is you're going to KNOW a lot of people. >Takes a bow and steps off pedestal. :O) |

But knowing a lot of people doesn't guarantee knowing the right people, only an expensive education can guarantee that!

I wouldn't worry about it Kihei kid, if you're tall, good looking and muscular you may find success in jobs as an actor, politician, swim suit model or body builder. Maybe even a magician? Don't dispair! There may be hope!
