No. Inferno is a knock off. And it sounds like your magic dealer is misinformed, or maybe has some infernos in stock that he is trying to move.
The re-released version of inviso-torch is called Phoenix. And you can get it online from his whiterabbitmagic web site. I have a friend who mistakenly bought an inferno, and because of the problems he had, he originally told me to avoid the inviso-torch. But I have owned more than a few Jim Pace products and I know he backs them up, so I went ahead. And my friend is now amazed at the utility I get out of mine. He knows he got ripped. BroDavid

I think this item looks great.
It appears smaller than Fickle Fire or Omega Fire, and as displayed appears to be a nice product. Certainly is high tech, with rechargeable batteries and charger. I do have some questions about the "flap" that opens before the fire, and closes to put the fire out. But I will post a request for a review on Good, Bad, Ugly. But I do believe that the problem most people have with a device like Omega Fire, or Fickle Fire, is not having the fuel fresh enough. In other words you can't load, and then perform 2-3 hours later, and expect a good quick light. And it would seem to me that this unit, while providing a consistent ignition source, would not be any better or different in regards to needing to have the fuel freshened before a performance. I agree with Steve and Scott. There are cheaper ways to do this. But remember above all, play it safe. Fire is very dangerous and even the most experienced people have been injured (even if just minor).
