There's a few magic trick this guy does one of them is making a pen vanish. He does not have any sleeves on and all he did was move his hands. Another trick was he made almost the whole deck turn into the same card. The craziest one was he used a "reality altering card" which was a card cut with a circle that was see through and it had a tape like look. He made a sharpie bend and dissapeaer through the "lens". He then bent the sharpie into different ways. (Not advertising but this video shows the tricks he did)
The start of the video are a couple tricks. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/144669877 The reality altering card is around 4:11:00 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/144615359 I'm new to the forum and I do not know where to post this so... sorry. |

I did not watch the whole thing so I didn't get to see everything. What I saw though, is not 'demonic'. He does some tricks I perform myself and others I know the working of. I didn't like his style, but that's more me (I am a children and family entertainer). I do apreciate his skills and moves though, he knows what je is doing!

Why are you searching on YouTube for the workings? Do you want to actually learn magic or do you just want to know secrets?

Just in general, ask yourself why anyone with demonic powers would use them to amuse and entertain other people. I mean, if I could really do what I can pretend to do, I could enrich myself without drawing attention to my abilities. When you see people on YouTube saying that since a tv magician does tricks that are hard to figure out, he must have the help of demons, you should ask yourself if that makes sense. Or it it more likely that it is a trick that is really deceptive?
We are not in the habit of sharing methods on this forum. The secrets are a big part of what makes magic effective. There is no mystery without secrets. Patrick |

Yes, it's demonic. There is no other way that can be done.
Seriously, though, there is no such thing as demonic magic. Every bit of magic you ever see is a trick, no matter what anyone says.

I've seen some hellish performers in my time but that's somewhat different...

Speaking from personal experience --
Most people who seriously claim magic "must be demonic" have a very inflated view of their own intelligence. "If *I* can't explain it, then it *must* be demonic because there is no other explanation!" Rather than, "Wow! That guy knows things I have no clue about!" Or they are simply very superstitious and easily "freaked out". Again, what happened was "outside my knowledge and understanding" - as if I know and understand everything?!? - and therefore *simply can not have* a rational and natural explanation. Ed (Yes - I did once accuse a world-class performer of being demonic. Then someone gave me an Abbott's catalogue ... ) |

Ed, I think some religious people are trained from a very young age to believe that magic is inherently evil. It is not Godly, and therefore at best it takes people's attentions from God and is thus a net negative, and at worst it is Satan and his demons actively working to deceive and work evil in the world.
There are religions that believe dancing is evil, and that Halloween is demonic, so why wouldn't those folks believe that magic is? They also, by definition, believe in the supernatural,so it doesn't take any effort at all to extend the supernatural label to magic. The word magic, itself, derives from the exercise of supernatural powers and the ability to affect natural and unnatural forces. So I don't think it's ego or having an inflated sense of one's own intelligence. I like to believe that magicians are natural skeptics, but unfortunately that isn't a universal trait.

Good points, Dana. There were a lot of evangelist types that used all sorts of magic and mentalism to gain a following as well. Thankfully many were exposed but not before infecting the gullible with the whole idea that "miracles" were proof of god, and "tricks" were counterfeit illusions by demons intent on stealing souls.

I have done a couple of shows in my career where the client had me state before the show: What you are about to see are strictly tricks - no real magic or black magic is involved. Usually these were performances at a religious facility. People are apparently really gullible, and some do believe in demons and black magic. Me? I'm apparently jaded ..............
