Hi everyone,
A magician friend of mine I knew as a child gave me some of his old magic. Included was the Ducheck gimmicks but I don't have any of the written material to support their use. I noticed that Joe Porper is now making them again called "Wash Off." They are beautiful brass props that I'd really like to use. Does anyone have any info on routines etc.? Thanks, B. |

Is that the one with a velvet cord and washer type disk? If it is the trick is very simple and straight forward.
It is a fooler, as I sold a few when I worked in a magic shop 20 years ago. |

Hello,
Thanks for your response...yes it is the washer trick, although I only have the 3 washer gimmicks..no cord. Could you give me more info on the trick itself and some handlings..you could mail me privately if you'd like. Thanks in advance. B. |

Pick up a copy of Steve's Lecture DVD (1982), available directly from him HERE. You'll find his routine "The Coin & Cord" on it.
Best of luck! |

I never heard of this trick, but I do have Steve's DVD, so I'm looking it up now.

Joe Porper sells it and I revised the instruction sheets with new photos, etc. A beauty of a prop.

Because some people LIKE to play with gimmicks. In a way you are right, in that a lot of gaffed coins are harder to use than pure sleights with straight coins.
