Apparently there are several magic magazines, some associated only with SAM or IBM membership, some not. As a newbie, which print magazine would you suggest I subscribe to ? PM me if you don't want to say it here "out loud."
Also, same question for SAM or IBM ?

SAM and IBM each have a magazine that comes with membership. MAGIC magazine recently ceased publication. Your best bet today may be Genii magazine. http://geniimagazine.com/
It's still magic even if you know how it's done.

Dirty Deek: You specifically requested information on "print magazines" but today you also have a choice of on-line magazines that are not printed on paper. The Wizards' Journal is one such example. We specifically designed it to be all about MAGIC and NOT about Magicians, and made it so YOU get to decide which articles you want to read and choose only the ones of interest to YOU.

Nothing beats Genii for me. Sophisticated, in-depth story writing, well-designed, and you can have the printed magazine and access to an amazing website and archives.

Don't forget Reel Magic Magazine, for $5 a month it's one of the best value deals online: http://www.reelmagicmagazine.com

I second that recommendation, as long as you're not looking for a paper and ink version.
Now that Magic Magazine is gone, I believe there are only Genii, IBM's The Linking Ring, and SAM's M-U-M if you want a printed, physical magazine. Anything else is a PDF, online experience, or in the case of Reel Magic...a DVD.

Penguin Magic is producing a print magazine, free with any order of $50 or more.
It's still magic even if you know how it's done.
