Count me in, Glenn!
How 'bout I'll bring my UltraTube so it will turn into pilfering galore?! With Davy's help as dragoman (his French is sooo impressive) we'll travel thru whole Glennada! What a blast! Quote:

For those who don't know him: he's basically saying that the sleights are somewhat demanding and need good rehearsal to look as smooth as in the video. Bummer. At least I'll now have the Canadian TROP (tourist rip off project) to focus on! But wait... am I not a tourist then myself??

I just saw Linking Dice demonstrated at the IBM/SAM Convention. No gimmicks, but also you switch fingers (which you do not with any earlier version using match sticks or cigarettes) and thus it is a step backward. And it's difficult.

It's such a wonderful eye-candy effect. Too bad it's such a dodgy methodology. Thanks for the info Richard. How was the IBM/SAM convention btw?

I spent the whole convention in the dealer room because I had a stand myself. Thus the only magic I see is when there is a lull and I can walk around and see what the other dealers are selling.
Some guy from Asia had the most amazing lenticular playing cards: You see a blue-backed Bike change to a red back slowly, no cover, and it's amazing. The ridges required for the lenticular were very very fine, and thus not visible from 18 inches away. I'm going to try and remember to demo it in my next video in Genii (More Genii Speaks) in the September issue. |

I wonder if Fortune Sticks is the same effect that was previously released? The page had two other effects - one is a guillotine effect that sounds interesting.
I'll look forward to Richard's annual rundown in Genii. Mark |

Does anyone know the name of this effect? It's was a collectible trick with a nesting doll you put on a little wooden base, place a plastic tube over her and lift it off and she's "gone".
Thanks again . |

The Fortune Sticks that have been rereleased are slightly different: the images are larger, and the sticks have a slightly different finish. But it's the same trick.

Just wondering... with Bento Box there are six different types of sushi.....
They remove two, cover the box and you name the two. To a non sushi eater how would you name the types of sushi for them to understand? Or would you describe them? |

Just got an email from Hocus Pocus with a preorder offer for the 2018 line. Unfortunately, the guillotine effect is not there.
Thanks - Mark |
