Hello everyone,
Has there been any word regarding Tenyo's offerings for 2018? |

Yes, the four "main" tricks have been "outed."

Will there be a line of mentalism effects as well this year?

Not sure. I was led to believe so, but there might be four "other" tricks instead.

Richard, do you think they would ever release some of the +1 items? There are a couple of the recent ones that I'd be interested in that are really hard to come by. Would they be responsive to requests/feedback from fans?
Thanks - Mark |

They have little interest in hearing from us. Their real customer base is Japanese laymen and that's who they are selling to. They have later released a few Plus 1 items to the regular line, but the only consistent thing I see there is that they are made solely of cardboard. The trick I would personally have picked to re-release is "Mind Roulette," which is one of Shimomura's most amazing creations. But I think because it requires a piece of printed cloth it must be too expensive.
I don't know if there's any way to contact them directly unless there's a "contact" thing on their website. |

"Mind Roulette" is one that I've been interested in as well.

Mind Roulette may be Tenyo's best + 1 so far.

There's a contact form on their site, so I've sent them a message (specifically referencing Mind Roulette). I'll let you know what I hear.
Thanks - Mark |

Lol. Quick question for ya mate. Any chance you've tinkered around with Nobuyuki Nojima's 'Linking Dice'? Really reminds me of Arthur Sutterington's 'Crazy Man's Handcuffs'. Reminds me of Tenyo too in some obscure way. I know ya mess around with a lot of effects, so I thought you'd be Da man to ask. Thanks in advance.

Good find, mate!
Yes, you're spot on: although being a card guy mostly, Nojima also has a strong bias to penetrations (boy, what a stud!) Seriously, just look at his tweaks and variations of CMH for example and you can't help but agree with nerdy ole' Nicolino. Can you? (BTW, did you realize? The above verbiage has the only purpose of distracting from the fact that I did not yet tinker around those dinking lies unfortunately. I have a Japanese friend, though, who will find out about the required sleight skills. Deal?)

Lmao! You're a madman amigo. Great link btw.
I say you break parole, come on out to sunny Summer Canada & we go on the grift, pilfering tourist funds with a corrupt version of Tenyo's Mind Roulette. Endless cash flow. We can bust out John T from the One Card Monte rehab centre along the way. I was going to suggest we invite Killertweety too for the new exploits, but he apparently ignored the countless signed petitions & reproduced anyway. So, I'm assuming he's a tad busy now. We can end the season partying with Davy in Paris over a virtual plethora of beverages. What say Ye? |
