The Executive Clip is the ONLY way to switch a dollar bill, playing card, or small object. No other device is as versatile, clean or reliable than The Executive Clip. Professionals need a device that looks innocent and that is guaranteed to work. Chris Funk has been performing different versions of bill to impossible location for years. Perfecting the performance and method for maximum impact. The Executive Clip is the direct result of searching for the most reliable and most deceptive method. After thousands of performances the perfect method finally exists. The Executive Clip -Reliable -Can be shown freely -Perform close-up and stage -Works with dollar bill, playing cards, and any similar item -Looks like an ordinary object http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/8561 |

Isn't it just an Ostin Clip?

Curious if the mechanics of this are similar to Steve Dusheck's Quick Change

In the demo with the signed, folded card, Chris Funk has to do a utility switch to ring in the actual signed card.
Is this an advance over a standard Ostin Clip, which delivers the switched item directly? (Answer: no.) It appears to be a step backward . . . for $40 (!). |

I like em all...!
I wonder if the utility switch was required only because at first he switched a bill to be come the card , dropped to the table. I think if he was just switching folded card to folded card there wouldnt need to be another move.(utility) I also wonder if there is any difference from this new product to this product which I have had my eye on http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S21786 |

I can confirm (spoke with someone) that this does not use the riggs/Carlyle set up...

Looks like an Ostin clip, functions like an Ostin, not sure what is new, they have also been made with metal springs since the 70s, if they think that is a difference.
What makes me angry is they copied Ed's effect 200 to 1 right off of his sales video for the Ostin clip. http://www.carlyletouch.com/Ostin_Clip.html So I am boycotting this. It is time to put a stop to profiteering off other people's work. Tony Iacoviello |

Hey everyone. I can totally understand the confusion with this and he Ostin clip. I assure you that method is 100% DIFFERENT AND NEW. For those who know the Ostin clip, you're somewhat limited. The Executive Clip allows you to show an openly empty clip, remove a card, bill, billet or whatever, cleanly and openly place it in and switch it. There isn't anything like this out there. I've researched the crap out of all the clips I could find. Watch the teaser, ignore me drinking whiskey, and watch the handling in the clip.
Let me know if you have any other questions besides method. |

I have known about this item for years now, and am upset that I didn't think of it. This really is clever, and a step forward in my humble opinion.
The fact that the item (billet, bill, etc) can be shown freely before clipping it in the clip is truly something special. I am a big fan of the executive clip; you will be too. Sf |

If this truly is a NEW method, then cool. That being said, based on what I saw from the video, I still prefer the standard Ostin clip. I have never had a need to let the audience see me put the billet into the clip. In fact that works against what I do with it. But that is just personal preference. The other thing that bugs me about what I saw in the handling is the jerking motion, or shaking of the clip when the dump is made. With the standard Ostin clip, I reach over and squeeze the clip open and the billet is in my hand. The retention of vision is perfect. Shaking the clip looks suspect to me. This new clip may not need that done, perhaps that's just the way he does it. Just pointing out what bothered me about it.

According to the performance in the demo, the billet is already clipped and suspended in the jar. And it is covered. So in this performance piece (where the 'prediction' is covered and suspended in the jar), what is the advantage of the Executive Clip over the standard Ostin Clip?

Which looks a lot like this: http://www.penguinmagic.com/p/S21786 Thewonderist: How is the executive clip different? |

Why is the scene direct out of Ed's sales video demonstrating his 200 to 1 effect (the clip in the jar) replicated on this product video? If it is an original concept couldn't original ideas be shown, not taken sans permission from Ed??? Methodology is one thing, replicating another person's effect from his sale's video and putting it on your competing product is something else. Tony Iacoviello |

As I mentioned above
Since the research has been done on all clips I too would love to hear the comparison of The Executive clip and The Switch clip As well As I am very much planning on purchasing one ( or the other) |

Kenodad, the clip you posted is not the same method. I have both clips and in my opinion the executive clip is better. To explain how they are different I would have to expose someone else's method and that would not be cool.
