Hi all Smile
I hadn't used Proteus for a bit.
Tonight I sat at a table with a mom and her two kids, and it seemed appropriate.
(kids ages 13 and 15)
I decided to try all three at once.
Triple hit. And since the mom and daughter, had the same image in mind, it hit extra strong.
I was concerned that at least one would be a miss, but nope.
This is such a great effect that I wanted to share this one.
(Hellllooooo Phedon! Still want to catch up one day on Skype Smile Hope you're doing great brother)

Ok, end of ramble Smile

My friend, thank you for sharing your experience with Mindpeek. Doing it with three spectators is great, and I myself rarely perform it that way, with two being my favourite (it's just easier and I'm kind of lazy performance-wise 😎 )

Keep having fun with this routine. And yes, I am doing great thankgod. Whenever you can and want, just give me a date and a time, and I'll be there for a Skype session 252life. Always.

Love,

Phedon

Does anyone know if any vendor has this on sale currently?

Where do you get the extended tables? I did a search on FB and did not see a group, I assume it is private?

Thanks!

Hello

You can get Proteus from Alakazam. If you get it let me know, I will send you the Bonus PDF which includes the Extended Version and other routines.

Never hesitate to reach out directly to me should you need anything or experience any difficulty

I mean when you see 36 pages for one book, you shoud already understand that this is an amazing effect. I was a beginner in mentalism and this was the real first effet ct I decided to purchase. This is at least worth 3 times the price and if you are not sure that it will work 100% of the times, you should contact Phedon and he will give you is help a lot. I don´t mean to say Phedon is not only a great humain being, I contacted at least over 35 agicians and he is without any doubt the more honest, open, helpfull and sincere person you will contact. If a guy suggest you to not buy is product as a beginner (sybil) than you know he really care for you. About Proteus you need only to memorize the method, witch is after practicing maybe 2 days, and I repeat I am a beginner in mentalism, really easy to learn. I believe if you are advanced in mentalism or a beginner like me, this is a really treasure in your hand, but give it the respect needed. Because is something that will so strong mindblowing your spectators, and I do visual and close up magc since 26 years, but rarely saw this reactions. It´s very very and again very much more worthy the price you pay. By the way the less people talk about it, you will find a second magic mentalism effect in the book, that is extremely strong. By reading you will think is nothing stong to perform, but I perform it on my girlfriend and she was totally freaking out, by the way my girlfriend is the most skeptical girlfriend about magic you can perform for Smile

Precisely.

I have Michael's PDF as well.

But again for me, far too many pumps.

********! Whoever performed it on you did a bad job then! And surely if mindreading really existed and you were trying to
Guess what they were thinking off, “any object”... you would stumble a little bit! It’s all about performance and presentation guys!
If it felt like 20 questions, then you experienced a ****e “performance” of the effect. Simple as!
Look at Madison’s YouTube video of his performance of this effect! It simply blows people away!
And yet... he “stumbles” a bit and has to switch from letters to images!

This is why magicians should stay as magicians, and mentalists stay as mentalists. It’s a totally different philosophy!

3 years too late but I’m sure Brett will take your very wise advice onboard, and adjust his professional set accordingly.

Is it ever late...? Does any piece of advice come with a BBD...? 🙂

I think the opposite. People still buy Proteus. I recently had to reprint actually. Therefore, such posts are very helpful indeed. Maybe not to Brett, but definitely to so many others.

Thank you for the posts guys. Whatever you may need, never hesitate to reach out.

Much love,

Phedon

Well said Phedon!

This is an amazing effect! I have now memorised the a*****m and the object groups (including the extended version), thanks to mnemonics! Smile I am now ready to learn the so called “fishing” stage. Can’t wait to perform this over the Christmas holidays. Smile

I would like to hear more about what users of this do when it doesn't work. I have done this off and on for some three years now, and sometimes it hits and sometimes it doesn't. Recently I pulled out the book and got re-acquainted with the method and used it...

They thought of "apple".

It's a fun thing, and it works often, but definitely not always. In my experience, it works around 70% of the time, even less with people who are more creative.

Fortunately, I purchased the Alias wallet some time ago, and I followed up the failed Proteus experiment with a drawing duplication using the Alias wallet, and did a duplication that was similar, but also different. It worked out as an explanation of how you can have a mental link, but it doesn't come across exactly the same.

Have you looked at Michael Murray's "bonus" handling of Proteus? It has some really good thoughts on how to handle a "miss" and also includes more outs (including "apple"!)

Where would I find it? I don't see it in the book.

It's an add on that Murray gave to people who bought Proteus directly from him, but you can also purchase it for £5: https://www.mindfx.co.uk/collections/ins......l-murray (list price is much higher, but if you put in the right code to prove you own Proteus, you get a big discount). If you use Proteus a lot, I'd recommend it. It's not a revolutionary difference from Proteus, but in typical Murray fashion, it just makes Proteus that much better, and helped me get more comfortable with it.
