I did. Curiosity purchase. It's not something I will do. The instructions to the spectator are a little complex I think

I bought it, and like it, a lot. It IS somewhat procedural, but in a way that gets one or two spectators actively, and enjoyably, involved.
Max demonstrates and teaches Kirigami very effectively, and the effects revelation(s) will seem almost impossible to an audience. One limitation: If you involved one spectator, you could perform it again (if, for some reason, you wanted to) with a second spectator, but no more after that. In the effect, you do end clean. The spectator's participation destroys any evidence that would make reverse engineering possible. George |

I bought it immediately because it was a Max Maven release.
At first I was a bit underwhelmed, but I tried it with someone and they were very impressed. That changed my opinion. I will show this off more. Also after reading this conversation - I just ran to my copy of PRISM and am kicking myself ... there on page 187, KIRIGAMI. I guess it really is true, if you want to hide a secret, put it in a book! It's ok. It's a tool to be used with a few other word type effects.
Put together a little set for those special friends. To much to carry. |

Should anyone want to do this in German, I have worked out a set of letters and words that makes sense (at least to me) in German and we being efficient, works on a single sheet of paper PM me if interested (Of course, no explanations given, just what to replace with what...).

The trailer doesn't reflect the effect well. This routine seems very awkward for most magic situations. The whole process of going through the elaborate explanation, which is really necessary, because you are then going to have to close your eyes or turn away for what seems like an eternity while you are going through the explanation yet again, but this time trying to make sure each participant is following the instructions looked awkward to say the least. As much as Max Maven comes across as "Mr cool shoes", even he looked very awkward performing this.
I wish I knew about the book above before purchasing this. I definitely do not recommend this. KJ |

I already know the effect from having read it. However, I just purchased the download because whenever I see Max perform or simply discuss anything pertaining to mentalism, I come away with deeper insight than I started with. I, for one, can't wait to watch this, even if I dislike the routine.
