I am looking into buying my first Amplifier for my kids shows. I saw this one at Hocus-Pocus...

Pignose 10 Watt Battery Powered Amplifier

It's pretty affordable, which is good for my tight budget right now. Can anyone recommend that brand? Also, do you guys think 10 Watt is enough for living room kids shows and some Summer Camp shows for up to 40 -50 kids or show?

Shadow,..... Danny is looking at a bicycle. You sent him to save for an SUV! Let's put this in perspective.

Shadow is correct. I would be glad to sell you my pignose but that would do you an injustice. Originally they were actually designed as Guitar personal monitors and a favorite to "introduce" distortion into the sound. They are cute and have some collectable value but not very practical for our use.

If you are searching in that size I would recommend an Anchor Audio AN-100. Without the wireless option you can get them at around $150.

Yup, the Anchor's are great, those are what we use for monitors for our musical director, offstage singers, and follow spot ops on "The Full Monty" national tour. That said, they're likely to be way too small to do you any good at all for sound reinforcement purposes. Anchor is the way to go, but the AN-100 is way too small to be useful in any environment large/clarity-unfriendly enough to necessitate a microphone.
