When it comes to having total control over your performing surface, along with the effective use of PK magnets, etc, doesn't it make sense to bring along your own table? Although this might limit the number of people who can sit next to it, the overall confidence that knowing the properties of the table would provide, more than compensate for the possible problems a strange table might present at a client's house.

How big a table do you want to carry?
A few bits of paper and a level can do wonders.

Possibly card table size, maybe weighing no more than 25 to 30 pounds. A rectangular shape would seat more people, I believe.
