Help me out here.

I one JOL, single row, half dollar sized coin purse, that is suppose to carry six half dollar coins. I also have two JOL-styled double row, half dollar sized coin purse, that takes six coins (I don't know the manufacturer, has a "v" stamped in the middle of a "u" on the leather.

They are all quality purses, with single snaps, good leather, very good stitching.

But none of them will close (snap shut) if I put coins in them, even just one coin.

What gives. I thought the JOL purse was the recommended, quality purse.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Ok, so it's not just me.

Why in heaven's name would a company (any company) sell something like that?

In retrospect, in the future, I won't ever buy, new or used, any product made by JOL or this other company with the "V and U" logo.

If this is the one you are talking about, I have it and when completely loaded it has no problem snapping shut. Could you have gotten one from a bad run possibly?

My only concern with that type of purse is that is possible to drop one of the coins from it.

I have this one too and have had ZERO problems with it. I also trust it wholeheartedly carrying some very expensive sets. Never had a coin fall out.

I purchased a traveler wallet (copelandcoins.com) a few weeks ago. I carry 6 walking liberties in it with no issues.
