Nobody else had posted this, so here you go!

Several years ago, a friend of mine was crowned King in my home kingdom of Ansteorra (Oklahoma & Texas).
For the coronation feast, my brother and I showed the head table the mixture of ice cream that we had made up, asking if His Majesty would like us to add chocolate to the mix (he did). Her Majesty was at the other end of the table, talking with her ladies in waiting, but keeping an eye on what was going on.

We mixed in the chocolate and added the essence of a "frost elemental", stirring as we did so. When we handed a spoon to His Majesty and he started to dip into the bowl, Her Majesty quickly came over to see exactly what her husband was about to put into his mouth!

This is an easy experiment, but an expensive one to perform.
Prepare your favorite home made ice cream mixture, as if you were preparing to put it into a standard ice cream maker. Instead of dealing with the mess of the "grinder", put on heavy welding gloves and have a friend pour liquid nitrogen onto the mix as you stir it.
This is actually a great way to make the ice cream. Not only is it instantly ready to eat (after it warms up a bit), but it makes very short ice crystals, making for a very smooth after dinner treat! The resulting mass, after it has been frozen, looks like the pock-marked surface of the moon, and at first is too hard to scoop. Once a spoon can penetrate it, it is quite tasty!

LO2 is available at universities and medical supplies. It does require an adult to sign for it, and it also requires a special thermos that they will supply.

Warning! LO2 is around the range of -200 degrees below 0. This, if it comes in contact with your skin, will cause INSTANT FROST BURN! Be careful.
