Hi,

I'm afraid the only way of purchasing Inject to run on both iOS and Android is to buy two copies of the app.
Inject is like any other app ... when you buy it for one OS it will not run on the other.

If we made Inject run on both iOS and Android, then people would get two copies for the price of one.

Inject 3 currently does not have a release date.
It is a very large project with many new features which are in the works as we speak.

Early adopters of Inject will get better pricing on the upcoming Inject 3 compared to new customers.
That means, you'll pay less if you get Inject 2 and then later upgrade to Inject 3.

What I can tell you for certain is, Inject 3 will be substantially more expensive than Inject 2.

I hope that helps,
Greg Rostami

So are we looking at a subscription payment for Inject 3 (ugh!) or an upgrade path (2 > 3) that might cost as much as the current Inject 2 (currently $79.99)?

I truly don't understand why Greg will not release more information. Also Greg will you have to upgrade to keep using the app? Or will it be optional.

Once 2.0 has been replaced by 3.0 I wonder if 2.0 will continue to receive any sort of proper, ongoing support.

Yeah I assume it will be the same app. like I think the last few have been but I wonder if it will be an option to upgrade.

A upgrade to Inject 3 should be optional by all means.
Otherwise I would like to get my money back.
If you are not in the position to afford Inject 3 you should not get punished as a loyal customer.

Exactly hopefully Greg will clarify. I think he has said it will be out soon.

He mentions that it's an upgrade, not sure if that answers at least part of your question

I know that its an upgrade. But is it a subscription, one time, $100, $30? I think that it will be expensive but I hope not.

As a current inject 2.5 user, who paid full price and really enjoys the app, my questions/concerns for Version 3.0 are:

  • Will there be a one time upgrade price for users like me or an enforced subscription?

  • If a straight upgrade is offered for 2.5 users, what (ballpark $$ is ok)can we reasonably expect to pay for that?

  • If I don't upgrade, what kind of support (if any) will Inject 2.5 receive on continuing basis?

  • While I don't use third party add-ons, I think it's good to ask (for those who do) if there's any expectation of compatibility issues with the eventual 3.0

  • What type of features (feel free to be vague) are going to justify the much higher cost of 3.0?

While a bit of clarity on this would be nice, I honestly expect to be told "wait and see!". *sigh*

I do not know if this is the place to ask, but I ask:
Comparing Inject and Realist - if I want to purchase ONE of them -- which one is better? Any information that will help me to decide will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Inject but wait until more information about 3.0 is released to figure out the best time to buy it.

If it's a subscription, I won't purchase/upgrade.

Inject 3.0 is still far away.
I don't want to talk about the new features mainly because it's constantly changing.

The upgrade to the new 3 features will be optional ... you don't have to pay if you don't want to.

All of the existing features in Inject 2 will be the same (some of them will be better, for free).
The existing Inject will not be abandoned because we're upgrading from 2 to 3.

For those of you who are asking what's a good time to buy, as I said in my previous post, it will be cheaper for you to buy Inject 2 (current version), and upgrade to Inject 3 later.

I hope that clears things up,
Greg

Hi Greg, thanks for some clarifications!

Can you tell us if we can upgrade to 3 with a 1 time payment?
Thanks

Thanks Greg, it's good to know that we will always have access to the really great 2.5 features (supported) even if we decide not to go for the 3.0 upgrade when that happens.

Please but me down as a strong "no" vote if you're thinking about a subscription model for the upgrades. I suspect I'm not alone in considering new subscriptions pretty much a deal breaker in terms of additional purchases (upgrade or not).

I like the subscription model, up to a point. For example, I'll gladly pay $5 a month for Reel Magic Magazine. Would I pay $50/month (glares at Aaron Fisher), definitely not.

If you have a tag writer, just write your personal Inject URL to a tag. Perform Inject as Greg does in the video he linked. If you have WikiTest, same thing if you have Pro Tools.

Thank you very much. I don't understand what a tag writer is exactly or which mode to select in Inject to make that happen. Please can you PM me some more details? Appreciate the help greatly.

I LOVE Inject and use it all the time (not at the moment however sadly due to COVID19 making all my gigs disappear!), but wouldn't want the upgrade to be on a subscription basis either. If it was, then I'd just stick with what I've got tbh.
