There was this cool brain teaser about some guys locked up in a dungeon .. They are lined up and asked a certain question .. if they get it wrong the were killed ... I don't remember much more but I saw it here...I need to revisit the puzzle .. It amazed me!!!

Hi, there is probably confusion in knowing about the future on previous days? On the last day, one knows either a quiz was on a past day (then no further discussion) or it might be given on this last day. It can’t be given on this last day because there would be no surprise.

On the 2nd to last day: one only knows if a quiz was given on a past day (then no further discussion) or it might be given on this day (a surprise). There is no knowledge on this day about the future day. Nothing is known on what could happen on this second to last day until the next future day.

This same type of thinking can be applied to further past dates. It seems that a quiz can’t be on the last day, but could be given on all the other days (a surprise).
