Stumbled upon a couple of videos of Michael Vincent performing for a small informal group before the Connor MacGregor boxing match. I thought you guys would enjoy watching the Maestro in action.

I think Mr. Vincent is lecturing at the Motor City close up convention in November. This is a great little convention. Don't miss it if you're within driving distance.

Why do we have to be within driving distance
I think I may have gone to one 15-20 yrs ago. I don't remember where it was. It's possible that I'm getting it confused with the Abbott's Close-up I went to. I do remember seeing Milt Kort and getting him to autograph my Modern Coin Magic. Dave |

Of course everyone is welcome. But those who can simply drive have no excuse i.e. too expensive for not going.

Don't get me wrong, I love Michael performances and he is a great performer however, I have always thought his choice of words when performing is very odd. He seems to use intelligent sounding phrases but uses them in the completely wrong context & also seems to use the phrase 'Whats known in the trade' a lot, which would be fine, but most of the time he's referring to a phrase none of us magicians have ever heard of.

I may be not that sensitive to choice of words as I'm not a native speaker.
I like how he talks, it sounds intelligent and very well organized and structured. You can tell he carefully prepared each routine and yet it's not unnatural at all. |

I'm a fan of Mr Vincent's gentlemanly style. I really enjoy this one where he's talking about some of his favorite magic books.

Just over a year and a half ago I had this idea to get Michael Vincent over here and get more people introduced to his work. I owe a debt of lifelong gratitude to John Luka for helping make that happen as the first stop on his lecture tour, which begins in earnest next week!
If anyone is interested, I have managed to orchestrate a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for serious performers, especially sleight-of-hand performers and dedicated cardicians. On Sunday November 19th, 2017 Michael Vincent and Darwin Ortiz will co-host an all day workshop at Chez DeSouza. More information on that event can be found here: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......forum=31 As for the rest of his schedule, Michael can be found around the Midwest/East Coast as follows: The John Luka Motor City Close-Up Convention (John has posted the link to more info above) - November 3-5, 2017 Magic Inc. Chicago Lecture - Monday November 5th, 2017 at 6 p.m. All ticketholders will have a chance at a HUGE prize drawing! TRICS Convention, Charlotte N.C. - November 8-11, 2017. Michael is lecturing and performing at this convention. Lecture in Freehold, New Jersey - Tuesday November 14th, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Escondido Mexican Cuisine & Tequila Bar Public Show followed by a magicians-only lecture - Sparta Avenue Stage in Sparta, New Jersey Denny & Lee Magic Shop Lecture and mini Workshop, Baltimore, MD - Saturday November 18th 7 p.m. All-day Workshop with Darwin Ortiz, outside of King of Prussia, PA - Sunday November 19th, 2017 - Information can be found in the link above. |
