Hi,
I am interested in purchasing the Rope Through Body. Does anybody know of an Online Store I can buy it from? Also, can the rope also be used for the Rope through Neck? What do you all think of this effect? Thanks! BBM |

I like it!
Man, the online stores...well...the first one I think of is Hank Lee...lets' go look...ha! Here's a different version: http://hanklee.org/xcart/customer/produc......p;page=1 Looking further, I find Denny & Lee: http://www.dennymagic.com/cgi-bin/hazel.......m=005801 Or, you could just use the old tried and true, Grandmother's Necklace principle. Do a search on that one...see what you think. Good luck! Doug |

Doesn't Pavel have a version of rope through the body? Or was this Bob Sheets? Maybe they both do. This might expand your search... Good luck.

I would just buy from Denny & Lee because they are a great shop with great customer service. They are willing to work with everyone to make them happy and I have never once had a problem with them or their stuff. They also have great prices.

"Rope Through Body?" Doesn't this title apply to any number of effects, including one described in The Mark Wilson Course? Look in your books; you may well already have a explanation of the effect you are thinking of.

Grandmother's Necklace is a great rope through body. Easy, can be done unprepared, or can be done with a little bit of set up to make it a little more effective. If you are looking at a rope thru neck, I have used a quickie for ages where you tuck a rope along the neckline of your shirt, so it appears to be hanging over your shoulders. Does anyone know the name of this effect?

Hi,
I purchased the Rope Through Body by Meir Yedid from his website. Is it different from the others? In this one, there is a special something in the rope. If you have it, you'll know what I mean. Thanks! Loren |

The one in the Mark Wilson course and other books uses an ungimmicked rope.

Try the search function, and you will find that there have been a number of threads discussing just this topic.
For example you will find: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=9 Or perhaps try: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=7 Or even: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......;forum=4 Or even a discussion of a chain through the neck at: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=109

Hi and thanks for all of your responses,
What, in your opinion, is your preferred routine for the ungimmicked rope through body? Thanks again, Loren |

This effect is in print all over the place.
In addition to what was mentioned above, Daryl has it on one of his FoolerDroolers tapes. It's also in Tarbell.

Loren,
If you will read the threads that I referenced, you will find that I discussed my preferred methods. I believe that others also discussed their preferred methods also. Check the threads out; they probably answer all your questions!

The version taught on Fooler Doolers, is great...And it doesn't use gimmicked ropes, so in my opinion is the best version.
I think that Bazaar De Magia has a trick called "Roped" for sale, one of the phases of the routine, is a rope through body. Owen |

Natural handling that way because you can show both ropes widely separated in each hand , then brought together in one hand and the the tiny rope gimmicks will bring them together to automatically set up for GMN position . I don't know who's idea this is , or where I first learned it , but I've been using this version of GMN for years . |

For Grandmother's Necklace, I don't tie 'em. Ever see that little Royal Magic kid's trick, Odd Ball? The one where the little red wooden ball is put in a clear plastic box, and the whole thing is threaded and tied, and the string is pulled thru all, leaving the ball inside the box? That's the method I use for the big ropes. Same loop "bite", just keep it snug against your back...
No "tying" together! Daryl tips this on his Expert Rope Magic vid... Doug |

Daryl's Fooler Doolers DVD (I can't recall which volume at the moment) has several versions of both the through the body and through the neck effects - all without gimmicks.
Highly recommended. Lee Darrow, C.Ht.

I agree, go for the fooler-dooler serie. Take a look at the table of content in ordre to select the right volume.
