After years of card magic, I believe that now it is time I can step into beginner's mentalism. It is because I feel that my live performance can manage spectators reaction, etc.

By the way, I would appreciate if anyone could reply on what videos should I first pay attention to. After that any books that you all fellow magicians will recommend.

Once again, thank you for your help and your help will lead to my success to bring astonishment to my audience.

Sincerely,
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

Richard Osterlind blew me away. Get his four-volume set right now if possible. Man, this is one of the best DVVD sets that I own. It is truly worth the investment.

Richard Osterlind's set, Larry Becker's and Bob Cassidy's are excellent and are my pick from all of those listed above.

The best resource for learning beginner's mentalism is from books. DVDs are no substitute.

Osterlind for sure, and I enjoyed The Desert Brainstorm three-volume set with Becker, Earle, Strivings, Knepper, Hilford. I believe it is only available on VHS tape. Some really good material

Regarding books:

Stunners-If you can find it or Stunners Plus by Larry Becker.

SYZYGY-The First Five Years, by Lee Earle

Mind Myth * Magic by T.A. Waters

13 Steps To Mentalism by Crorrinda

Hope this helps.

Another vote for Osterlind's DVDs, hands down. Best menatlism I've seen.

A book that is a must have is "Mentalism Incorporated" by Hiccock (spelling may be off here). He gives his entire act, the motivation for that particular effect, the presentations, everything. Absolutely unbelievable information for the money. If you want the effects to choose from you should pick from the list above, but this book is a great resource for an ACT. I wasn't even sure of how to format a mentalism show until I read this. Good stuff.
