Was wondering if anyone has seen the two DVDs, Secret Files 1 and 2. And if they are worth picking up. Thanks.

I like them. Some super cool routines in there. Especially Carbon Copy.

I purchased both of these DVDs, and will NEVER part with them.
Imagine if Jay were to take you down into the basement of his home, and let you in on tricks he has kept to himself for years? That's what you get with this DVD set. Just tons of cool effects that Jay has never shared with anyone else. (Until now.) Most of this stuff is killer. There are effects with various plots, and it may take you a while to master these DVDs. In fact, it will keep you busy and happy for years. A few of these effects I have already added to my repertoire, and they are "keepers" Good stuff. My favorite is Chameleon, where a spectator's card transforms magically into a book of matches that the spectator can keep. That's right, the matchbook that they get is actually their playing card in the form of a matchbook! They go nuts! I know, because I have used it several times, and it always gets a strong reaction. It's a trick worthy of Doug Henning, at least I always think this is an effect he would have performed has he known about it. But their are many more effects on this DVD that make it an excellent value for the money. MUCH of this material I think is tops! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody. And the cool part is that Jay makes you feel like you are right in his basement, watching him open his vault. You can almost smell the basement. In short, I love it. Want more details? Just PM me. Let me know specifically what you want to know.

I reviewed these for Genii, and said they were great. They contain some of the best material Jay has ever come up with and both are highly recommended.

It seems that Volume One gets much more praise than Volume Two. I only own Volume Two and honestly, I don't care much for it. Maybe Jay was tapped out after the first one?

Volume 2 is the best in my opinion. Very hard hitting content.

The quality of Jay's products is variable.
This is definitely one of his better releases. It is worth the money. |

Another vote for the Secret Files set. In vol. 2, you get Normad, Fedex Change, Spontaneous Combustion, and Classified (that Jay says it landed up a $25,000 worth of performing contracts!)

Couldn't disagree with you more, clamnon86. There is a lot of good stuff that is not on VBO. His Front Row Sankey dvd is excellent and doesn't contain anything from VBO. Well, there is a transposition that uses his Paperclipped! idea but it's a really nice effect.

What's the dvd where Sankey uses his paperclipped technique for a prediction effect with a blue-backed deck? Spec chooses any from this deck, and it matches the single, folded red-backer in view all along.
I thought it was "Paperclipped," but I stayed up very early this morning going through my collection and can not find. thanks, fib |
