Might be okay if you just want to carry a few items with you for casual, occasional, performances . This is not good for any paid gigs. People would look at you strangely. Anytime you are being paid, you should dress a little better then the best dressed person you will be performing for at the event.

Similar bags have been used for years by police and military personnel. They can be found for about 15euros on eBay.
