Perhaps someone could post a few of the great ideas in Secret Sessions...I understand where you are coming from, but I stay as far away from FB as possible. Didn't trust them when he started it, still don't.

I finally purchased this after being hesitant as I have an Android phone and I'd read that support/upgrades is limited for Android. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the product as is. Great idea, works well and lots of potential for creative minds.

Hi All

Blackpool was amazing so thank you to all those DFB users that came over to the stand and introduced themselves to me. Just to let you know we have a couple of our exclusive Rainbow reveal cards left over. Higar kindly made us The Leaning Tower Of Pisa & Colosseum and these specific Landmarks won't be available anywhere else. If you're interested in picking one of these up then the cost is £44.00 inc postage and packaging within the UK. We have very limited stock so if you would like one or both please email me at yoyomagic@me.com. We can send to other countries so when you email we will work out the shipping cost.

Regards

Craig

It’s cheaper to order direct from seomagic. But thanks.

You receive the following for 47 Bucks.... and you use my country list (above) depending on which card you receive.

7 pictures, 1 gimmicked picture film, and 1 gimmicked card film (card face may vary.)

Are the The Leaning Tower Of Pisa & Colosseum more beneficial to the DFB app than the standard cards included in the original?
sorry if this is an obvious answer / silly question?
thanks in advance guys

Nope. No advantage at all, just very limited supply so all of your friends will not be predicting the same outcome!

Pegasus is wrong.......... to buy direct it will cost £68 using the cheapest delivery option. The postage is virtually the same price as the product!

It’s 48 GBP for the whole set including 1st class international postage.

You can also purchase 5 of the cards for 99 Bucks. 75 Pounds plus 18 Pounds postage.

So, not wrong at all am I Raspberry.

I posted a list of 100 U.S. Destinations in the DFB Facebook Group. For Rainbow users, the Statue of Liberty is included in the list.

It IS in fact cheaper to order from SEO directly.

That being said, you CANNOT order the "exclusive Rainbow reveal cards" from SEO at all because, according to Craig, they were a Blackpool special that he was offering to sell the limited number of extra's that he had from the convention.

I just purchased the Android version ... and, after wading through 22 pages of magiccafe posts about the app,
I've got two things to say:

1. I'm looking forward to it, and the FB group, thanks!

2. all the apple fanboys are missing a *CRITICAL* point: with Android, I (or anyone) can
create an app and absolutely control distribution of it (should I choose to do so).
Part of such control would be distributing it outside of a "play store / app store" ...
something that ... and this is the critically important part ... Apple refuses to let you do,
but is exceedingly easy on Android.

I don't like having non-magicians be able to look up items in the app store / play store
and see a description like "DFB has been designed to allow the user to force any one of 100 items.".
I'd much rather have them find: nothing.
I don't like having to submit apps to non-magicians at Apple (or Google or Amazon), possibly/probably
revealing secrets, to seek approval to sell them.

My 5 cents Smile

How fast you can get your app to the market is always a primary concern when building the app. In general, it can take 2-3 times longer for Android app development vs iOS app development. Why? It has to do with the system release cycles and something known as Android fragmentation. Simply put, Android fragmentation is about a huge number of devices within this operation system that come in all shapes and sizes as well as with huge differences in performance level and screen sizes. Another aspect of Android fragmentation is that there are lots of active versions at the same time. To build an app that is compatible to all of these devices is quite a challenging task. Because Android is locked down by carriers and OEM’s, it makes their releases more difficult, and adoption of the latest OS versions is usually slower than with iOS. For example, today over 80% of all iOS users have adopted the latest version of iOS 10. Nougat for Android was released in August 2016, and currently, a little over 7% of all users have adopted it. For developers, there is a benefit to being able to focus on supporting the newest versions of an operating system. With that, you can reasonably expect to reach quite a broad audience. If only about 10% of the users have adopted it, then the developer has to support older devices, do more testing and this way increase the development cycle time. With iOS higher adoption rates developers can stop supporting older versions and devices sooner, reduce testing, incorporate newer API’s and reduce their development cycle times.

I'm still trying to get it to work on my Motorola flip phone. Takes forever to select down through a list of 100. I generally lose my audience around 25-30, but I'm working on funny jokes to tell in the downtime...

I'm not sure if you're joking about owning a flip phone...

Some people do still own them so I'll address it seriously by simply pointing out that there's no need to give them a choice from 1-100. Nor is there a need to show them the entire list. If you can only display 20-30 names while keeping their attention then just limit their number range from 1-30! Problem solved.
